The Odd Couple

*WARNING* If your parents do not allow you to watch/read (small) kissing scenes, then please do not read this chapter. I WARNED YOU!

(Still) Third P.O.V

Marinette stared at Adrien, wide-eyed. "I-I d-don't know w-what t-to say..." Marinette said, speechless. "I knew it, you would hate me after I said this... It's okay, Marinette. I'll just leave now since we probably aren't friends anymore," Adrien mumbled. His heart broke.

As soon as Adrien's feet touched the floor, Marinette cupped his cheek and pecked his lips. "I wish we could be more than that," She admitted with a sad sigh at the end. He looked at her with a smile. "We could be," He said, as their lips connected passionately.

After a minute, they broke the kiss, hyperventilating. 'What the heck just happened? I KISSED ADRIEN!!!!!!!' Marinette thought. She let out a happy sigh, as Adrien did the same. 'I. KISSED. MARINETTE!' Adrien thought. He wanted to scream happily, but that would be weird. They were just about to kiss again until... "Marinette? Adrien? Where are you?" Asked Tom, in search of Marinette and Adrien. Adrien quickly shouted, "We're in here!"

Marinette whispered (To Adrien) "Get the air mattress, it's in my storage closet... Quick!"

Adrien ran to the storage closet in a hurry, and he grabbed the bright blue air mattress. He lay it on the floor as Marinette threw a black, thick blanket at him. She fluffed her pink pillow, meanwhile, Adrien grabbed an old, white pillow from the storage closet. He sat on the air mattress. As soon as Marinette laid her head down onto her pillow, her parents came zooming into the room. "Oh, there you are. I was thinking something happened between you two," Said Tom. Adrien formed a tiny smirk. 'Oh yes, something did happen. It's called... Love...' Adrien thought.

"We wanted to tell you both some good news. Marinette can attend college online!" Sabine informed. Marinette's face formed a gigantic smile. "That way, she won't have to miss college!" Continued Sabine. "That's great! So, I'll be seeing my girlfri- I mean my friend, every day!" Said Adrien.

After a few minutes, Tom and Sabine left the room. "Were you just about to call me your 'Girlfriend'?" Asked Marinette, with a serious but kind of excited facial expression. Adrien nodded then said, "That is if you're okay with it..." Marinette smiled the largest smile in the world. "Of course I'm okay with it!" She shouted happily. He jumped off of the air mattress and hugged her. "So, Marinette... Will you be my Girlfriend?" Asked Adrien. "Yessss!!!!!!" Shouted the EXTREMELY HAPPY Marinette. "By the way, I'm going to rub it in Lila and Chloe's faces tomorrow," Said Marinette, crossing her arms. She and Adrien giggled. (A/N: BTW, Marinette is still sitting in her bed because her leg is broken. Just so you know, she is not standing)

The next day...

It was time for college, and Adrien was getting ready. Once he was ready, he told Marinette's parents, "I'm ready!" Tom and Sabine nodded. Marinette was still asleep. He didn't want to wake her up, so he slowly climbed on Marinette's bed ladder (Her bed was a bunk/loft bed) and kissed her forehead. "Goodbye, sleepyhead," He said with a chuckle. She opened one eye, and asked, "Where are you going?" She forgot they had college "To college," replied Adrien. She quickly sat up in her bed saying, "You're going to college!? I have to go, too!" She was about to jump out of her bed until Adrien reminded her:

"Marinette... First, you have a broken leg. Second, you have online classes now." She looked at him and asked, "Oh yeah, but don't I have to get to my desk?" Adrien nodded, then said, "I'll help you down, or actually, I'll carry you down..." He put one hand on her upper back, and the other hand under her knees. He carried her in a bridal position. "Um, Adrien, you don't have to do this, you can put me down now.. hehe," Said the uncomfortable Marinette. She tried to squirm her way out of his hands, but she tried her best not to fall. He slowly put her down on her desk chair, saying, "Anyway, you're already on your desk..." She smiled. "I wouldn't want to see my girlfriend late for school..." He said. She smiled at the amazing thought of being his GIRLFRIEND. "Okay, fine..." She said. Adrien leaned down to her for a kiss, and she passionately kissed his soft, pink lips.

One Hour Later...

The first lesson taught by Ms. Bustier was over, and the second lesson taught by Ms. Mendelieves started. Then, the oddest 2 people came inside; They were LILA and NATHANIEL, holding hands. Before they sat in their seats, they both kissed each other. On. The. Lips! The whole class, including Ms/Mrs. Mendelieves gasped in utter shock. 'What. Just. Happened?!' Was probably what everyone had in mind. Even the online Marinette looked VERY shocked. "So," Chloe said. "You got over your 'Adrien crush' already?" Chloe continued. Chloe didn't have a crush on Adrien anymore. He told her that he is now dating Marinette. She was shocked at first. "WHAT!? Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!" That was what Chloe said at the time. But then she understood. The two were obviously made for each other.

"Yeah, I am now in love with Tomato Child- I mean, Nathaniel," Answered Lila. Chloe didn't believe her. Lila was planning something, but nobody knew what it was. All everyone knew, was that Lila and Nathaniel are a very weird and fishy couple. Lilaniel? LilaNath? It just didn't sound right. "Dang it," mumbled Sabrina. For some weird reason, she has a crush on Nathaniel. "I really wanted to get Nathaniel, but now Lila stole him from me!" she mumbled again. Lila looked at the surprised Ms/Mrs. Mendelieves, and asked her, "Can I sit next to my boyfriend Nathaniel, please?" All the extremely surprised teacher did, was nod.

(A/N: If you remember, in chapter 1, Adrien sits next to Marinette, so that's where he is now)

Adrien looked at the online Marinette that was on an iPad on the seat next to him, and whispered to her, "Isn't that weird?" In response, she nodded. "Is it normal?" She whispered to Adrien. He replied, "No, at least, I don't think so..." Ms/Mrs. Mendelieves cleared her throat in a way that made Adrien realize that he should start paying attention. "So, as I was saying... There will be a few questions displayed on the board now. All I want you, students, to do, is to copy them into your notebooks and answer them," Stated Ms/Mrs. Mendelieves.

Lila was giggling with Nathaniel. "Oh, stop it! You're making me laugh a lot!" She said, bursting into laughter. "I-I didn't say anyth-" replied Nathaniel, but Lila interrupted him with a pinch on his thigh. "Ow!" Shouted Nathaniel. "That's it! If I hear one more peep out of you two, you're both going to the Principal's office!" Warned Ms/Mrs. Mendelieves. "Wait, isn't Lila supposed to be suspended anyway?" Asked Kim. Lila nodded, then explained, "Yeah, but Mr. Damocles let me go earlier than expected. All he told me was-" Lila got interrupted by Ms/Mrs. Mendelieves, "He let you out early?" Lila nodded in response. "As I was saying, he told me 'I'm letting you go because I forgive you. Just please promise me that you won't do it again?' and I nodded," Lila said, imitating Mr. Damocles's gruff voice while quoting what he said. "I still don't believe her," said Chloe. "What? Chloe! We're best friends, right?" Asked Lila. Chloe shook her head saying, "No, I'm a good person now, unlike you." Lila shot Chloe a death glare.

"Ahem, Students! We still have a lesson to get through!" Ms/Mrs. Mendelieves reminded them. "Oh yeah, I totally forgot," admitted Rose.

After the lesson ended, it was time for lunch. "Wait, is Marinette in her house, or in her dorm room?" Asked Alya. Adrien replied, "She's in her house." Alya was skeptical. "Why didn't you bring her to her dorm room?" She asked. "Well, the doctor specifically said to not take her to college," Adrien answered. He continued, "Plus, I don't think he knew we had dorm rooms." "What kind of college doesn't have dorm rooms?" Alya asked. "I don't know," replied Adrien. "Okay, this conversation has too many questions..." Said Nino. "What?" Asked Alya and Adrien simultaneously. Nino shrugged, then he walked to his dorm. "Are we supposed to eat lunch in our dorms now?" Asked Adrien. "No. I think Nino went to get his lunch from his dorm room. He forgot it, again," replied Alya.

Then Sabine opened the college front door, allowing Tom and Marinette to enter the building. "Wow! Marinette! You're on crutches, not on a wheelchair! That's amazing!" Shouted Alya. Adrien looked at Marinette, astonished. Marinette put her arms around his neck, then he kissed her on the lips, forgetting that Alya and Marinette's parents were there. "What just happened? Did you j-just KISS MARINETTE?!" Asked Alya. Marinette's parents were very happy, but also very surprised. "I knew it! You two were made for each other! I'm going to start calling you two 'Adrienette' now!" Sabine said happily. The couple nodded.

Overhearing the conversation, Lila thought, 'WHAT!? I thought she was dead! I thought Mari-trash would be gone by now! Hopefully, they don't find out that I was the one driving the car that hit her. Yes, I hit her on purpose. I was the one driving the car, but how is she still alive?! Also, she stole Adrien from me! I'm dating Nathaniel to make Adrien jealous. New plan. Think Lila, think!'

Nino came back, and to his surprise, he saw Adrien and Marinette kissing. He rubbed his eyes, then looked again. "If this is a dream, then don't wake me up! Adrien! You finally told her?" Asked Nino. Adrien and Marinette both back away from the kiss. "Did you get the kiss on video?" Asked Alya. "Yes, I did," Answered Sabine. "Good," said Alya. "Yup, I told Marinette... She loves me too!" Exclaimed Adrien. Nino pretended to be shocked, even though he knew that Marinette likes Adrien. "Oh wow! What a coincidence!" said Nino jokily. "You knew, didn't you?" Asked Adrien. Nino nodded. "Why didn't you tell me?" Asked Adrien, frustrated. "I don't know... Probably because Alya told me to keep it a secret," Answered Nino. "ALYA! YOU TOLD HIM!? YOU SAID YOU DIDN'T!" Shouted Marinette, still on crutches. "I know, but he pressured me!" Alya said, defending herself.

They talked a bit, then Adrien helped Marinette to their dorm. (A/N: Also, in chapter 1, Ms. Bustier paired Marinette and Adrien in the same dorm, so they live in the same one) "Okay, you're doing great, Marinette. Especially since you're new to the crutches," commented Adrien. "Thanks," said Marinette. She was about to lose her balance and fall to the ground, possibly injuring her, again, But Adrien caught her. "Careful there, clodhopper..." Said Adrien with a chuckle. "Thanks for catching me. What does 'clodhopper' mean?" Asked Marinette. "It means 'a clumsy person' like you. But I don't mean it in a rude way, of course," Informed Adrien. She nodded. "Do you need me to put you on your bed?" Asked Adrien. "No, because now that I'm on crutches, I can easily move around, and I can put myself on my bed. Thanks for asking," explained Marinette. He nodded, then walked to the kitchen (That was in the dorm) and began making lunch.

"I didn't know you could cook," admitted Marinette. "There's a lot of things you don't know about me," Answered Adrien with a small chuckle. "Really? The girl who had been stalking you for 5 years doesn't have that one little detail!?" said Marinette, mentally facepalming herself. He laughed at her, then she joined along.

Once lunch was ready, they both sat at a table and ate.

When they finished lunch, they returned to class.
