Let's paint a life

You took up the brush

But it was a knife

Nothing could save us

I thought the colors were perfect

We would last forever

You said it was me you picked

You were so very clever

I had started to dream

Of what our mosaic would be

But then through the steam

I learned that it wasn't just me

You'd painted a wonder with her

I was only there for security

I thought of what we were

But couldn't remember through the obscurity
