Chapter 1

California | time 1:45 p.m

R:Soo... Who are you gonna invite to the party

K:What? What are you talking about? What party?

R:Don't tell me you actually forgot! I told you when we were in science class that Jen is inviting everyone at a party in the woods. In her parent's cabin. Weren't you paying attention to me?

K: No I wasn't. See unlike you I pay attention in science because my grades are bad...very bad. And so are yours so next time just wait until the bell rings okay ? Plus I don't think I'm gonna go anyways .

R:WHAT!?No no no no young lady . You're not going to reject me again because "it's not your thing" alright? Yes you and Bryan broke up . Yes you were happy . Yes he cheated on you . And yes you are broken but that doesn't mean you will cut off everyone and stop living . He is just a boy . Get over him already and move on !

K:First of all I'm not rejecting you . Second of all i am not cutting off everyone . Third of all I haven't stopped living . And last but not least i AM over him !

R:Really ? Then if i tell you that he is right there in the corner kissing Jade would you turn ?

K:EXCUSE ME?!?

I turned around quickly and it was true what Ruby said . He was in the corner kissing Jade . I looked at them in shock while i could hear Mr.Johnson our math teacher walk fast towards them to stop them . Maybe Ruby was right . I wasn't over him after all .

K: You're right . I'm not over him . So please sweet Ruby tell me what to do .

R: What were you saying ? I wasn't listening because ... check over there at 10 o'clock .

And so i did . I turned around again and saw this tall , handsome man walk down the stairs . His eyes are bluer than the sky , his hair whiter than the clouds and he had the sharpest jawline you will see . Seriously his jawline could cut a watermelon with ease .

His body was jacked but not that much . He had a soft touch in his body . Like Ruby whispered in my ear "You could totally fall asleep in his arms" .

He wore a black t -shirt and black jeans . He was also wearing a silver ring with a red stone on it . I have to say the ring wasn't very pretty but maybe it was an heirloom he was stuck with .

I was amazed by his beauty . But not only me . The entire school was looking at him like he was some kind of god .

I was amazed but i didn't care . He's not my type anyways .

As i was about to tell Ruby that we should probably go to class the bell rang . Ruby and I quickly started to speed walk into our next class which unfortunately is math .

Mr.Johnson is a crappy teacher . And so is math . Crappy ... very crappy . I can't understand anything .

When we got there we sat down and waited for our teacher to get in .

The rest of the school day went on peacefully and Ruby drove me home . When I got in I ate some pizza from last night and went upstairs to my room. As I was walking up the stairs I realized it was surprisingly quiet so I called everyone's names to see if they were there. But no one answered. I went to the living room to check if my dad slept on the couch again but i only found a note

"𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘱𝘪𝘻𝘻𝘢 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘹 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘬𝘦𝘺𝘴. 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 , 𝘔𝘰𝘮"

I threw the note and went back into my room. I started doing my homework because well it was Friday and I wanted to be free this weekend so I can go to Jen's party.

About an hour later when I finished I heard dad's car pull up front so I rushed downstairs to see what they got. Not that I was interested in my sisters new clothes or my brothers new headphones or something. I just wanted to see what food they had bought because that's me. All about the food. Why? Because it's the best thing in the world that's why.

M: Katherine sweetie come help us with the bags. Some of them are heavy.

K: Okay mom.

I helped mom with the bags and also helped her put everything in it's place while keeping a list in my head with the things i could steal at midnight to watch a movie .

After that I got back to my room and saw a text from Ruby asking me if I'd go to the party or not. I called her and said yes but only if she let me go alone and not bring a date. She was tough to convince but she accepted.

I stayed in my bed , opened my computer and watched Netflix until 2 a.m then went to sleep because I knew tomorrow I would have to go shopping with Ruby for the party. And it's fascinating how she has a whole walk-in closet but still wants to go shopping. I lied down and closed my eyes. Suddenly I felt tired and I completely fell asleep.
