The Hunt

Hello dear readers, I hope everyone is doing well. Anyway, this chapter has the same warning as the other chapters. I'm so sorry for the delay! I've been planning the last parts of what I want this story to become. I sincerely hope that you enjoy this chapter, my lovely readers! -123rgxb

Well it's a good thing that Priscilla's family also bought all of this land a year ago. That means that this whole woods is private property, not much people know about it though. So it was illegal for these teenagers to be here anyway, you could call it self defense. If the cops come for us then we can simply explain that they were trespassing on private property, which is very illegal. We just have to make sure that Melissa and Daniel don't leave the property and then we should be fine. Once I found Priscilla I tapped her on the shoulder and she turned around.

"What do you need Simon?" Priscilla asked while looking at me

"We might have to wait until the morning to catch these teenagers." I said crossing my arms

"That's a good point but I have flashlights," Priscilla said reaching into her bag

"I'm happy you listened to me when I told you that you should pack those." I said with a smile as Priscilla gave me a flashlight. Then Priscilla ran off and I looked at the crank up flashlight in my hand. I cranked the handle and the flashlight worked, I was very pleased. I started walking in the direction that I thought that Melissa and Daniel would be. At this point everyone had split up in opposite directions, I just hope that my friends are alright. I mean what do I exact, we run a hitman agency so why wouldn't they be able to handle themselves? I guess I just have the need to worry about the people I care about and that's something I can never change. I mean they've been my friends since childhood, we're like four peas in a pod instead of three. Our moms were friends in high school so we grew is very close, I wouldn't have been friends with them if our moms weren't friends. Our personalities are very different and they aren't the type of people that I normally hang out with. I prefer non crazy people but I can't really pick and choose, Priscilla is definitely the craziest one. Think about it, she doesn't have any morals she would kill everyone if offered enough cash. She's cute though, my first crush was her. I think I love her but she'd think I'm crazy, she wouldn't be that wrong though. I was driven to madness along with Autumn and Jason, however, Priscilla was born crazy. She was raised in a crazy family, it was in her blood I guess. If you take the time to get to know Priscilla you will learn that she is a great friend. I sometimes get really awkward around Priscilla and then she thinks I'm weird. Then I felt a crash and fell to the ground and I looked up and saw Priscilla, shit.

"Hey, you okay?" Priscilla asked offering her hand out to me, god she's so cute.

"Mhm," I said grabbing her hand and getting up.

"How about we stick together, we've always worked better in a team." Priscilla offered

"Oh sure, which way are we going?" I asked with a smile, my smile is pretty charming if I do say so myself.

"Over here!" Priscilla said grabbing my hand and running north. I chuckled and we continued running while holding hands, she might be into me but I don't know. After a while we ran into someone with a thump. I looked at the person and saw that it was Autumn, I hope she's okay.

"Watch where you're going lovebirds!!" Autumn said happily

"We aren't lovebirds!" Priscilla yelled, it was a running joke in the friend group. We are very close to each other all the time so I understand why they would think we're together, however, I wish it was true. Right now I need to be concentrated on the targets, hunting them that is. I don't have time right now to day dream about Priscilla. In the corner of my eye I saw Jason in a tree looking through the scope of his sniper rifle. He's really good at his job, it would help if someone would give him a flashlight because he could then see better. Jason has always been a hard worker, to be honest, it's hard to keep up with him sometimes.

"Jason! Do you need a flashlight?" I asked holding a flashlight in my hand

"Yep!" Jason said turning his head to where he heard me say it. I then tossed a flashlight his way.

"Thanks man" Jason said catching the flashlight

"You're welcome" I said with a smile

I walked away and went to hunt for that stupid kid named Melissa...why are kids so stupid nowadays? Eh, what can you do, kids will be kids. Honestly, if you're going to be someone's partner in crime, make sure that they won't throw you under the bus. You need to at least make sure that you both have an equal role in the matter so there isn't much room for betrayal. You need to ensure your safety, having a partner can be a horrible mistake in certain operations. However, sometimes a partner in crime is the exact thing you need. Make sure that you can trust them and make them understand that if they betray you, it won't turn out well for them. Try to pick a partner in crime who has the same morals as you or at least respect them. In addition, try to have the best skills in mind for the mission. The best advice I can give is to trust your gut, sometimes it's a gut feeling that saves you. Melissa is the stupidest kid I've ever met, however, she acts like a pro.
