'Till Next Time

We stand up and begin practicing again not wasting a moment of time. This time once we reach the center of the room and he puts his hands on my shoulders he smiles a fond smile probably remembering me falling on him before. This time I pay special attention on keeping my balance and keeping the energy centered in my body the whole time not make the same mistake. As we begin to reach the end the adrenaline slowly leaves my body and my heart begins to beat faster. I become out of breath and begin turning red as I feel Minho pull away from me and walk towards the speakers and to turn off the music.

"I'm tired" he says "We've practiced enough, we'll continue the day after tomorrow if that's okay?" he asks

"Yeh that's fine" I say casually "The day after tomorrow is good"

He nods his head in agreement and rushes towards the sofa to grab my things. I thank him with a smile and as he hands me my bag and sweater. I put on my sweater and put the hood over my head as I turn towards the exit door. Walking a few steps I turn my neck and body slightly waving with one hand and say "See you later"

"Yes you will!" he says confidently as I shake my head at him jokingly

I leave the room feeling warmer than I have in a while but slowly I realize that the next time I see him I'll have to feel that monstrous pain again. I hate having to associate that pain and those torturous memories with Minho and yearn for the day when I no longer have to feel it.

My Manager drives me home and as soon as I enter the Company Dorms building I notice Hawon standing outside of the dorm door. He often stands outside because through the window of the building you can see a beautiful view of Han River. I take a glance at him but he doesn't notice me so I walk past him into the dorm. Seungwon is nowhere to be seen inside so he's probably already asleep after gaming all day.

I wash up and go to the kitchen to find something to eat. After a second I feel a presence behind me and turn around to see Hawon.

"Where were you?" he asks casually leaning over the kitchen counter

"Dance Practice" I answer

"Why'd it take so long?" he asks with sudden interest swinging his legs over the kitchen stool and taking a seat

"It wasn't supposed to but because we have a different schedule tomorrow I had to stay and practice longer"

I take out the instant noodles and begin to boil them after adding veggies and the soup powder.

"That must've been lonely being all by yourself" he says sympathetically

"Minho from Stray Kids was there as well" I say

"I didn't think there would be that many amazing dancers there. It was quite terrifying." I admit openly to my bestfriend

I feel Hawon's continuous stare on my back but I ignore it as he's always been the strange one since we were young. Always one to space out at random moments. We're the same age but he always acts as if he's younger. Sometimes I forget that he's the oldest out of us being a few months older than me.

I hear him get up and go to his room as I turn around with my Ramen and place it on the corner. I sit on the stool and begin to slurp away my memories for now. Trying my best to worry about the day after tomorrow, the day after tomorrow.
