Bonding Trip Day 1

"You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly."

– Sam Keen

My dad decided to go to a hill station a couple of miles away from us. We had gone there many times and now it's kind of like a tradition to visit that place and have camped there whenever dad came back from London. It's a beautiful and peaceful place so, we never rejected. It's family time!

"Just pack clothes for only two days!" shouted mom from downstairs.

I was indeed packing my stuff in my backpack. Jimin was lowkey helping too.

"Jimin can you take the camera from that shelf?" I asked folding a shirt.

"Wow, you like photography?" he asked holding up my camera and checking it.

"Sort of. It's been a while, I don't go to places nowadays" I shrugged.

"Mm, it's good. You like sceneries huh?"

I hummed.

It's winter so I've to take winter clothes along. Scarfs and socks too. I stuffed all my clothes inside my backpack accompanied by my gadgets; earbuds, power bank, mobile charger, etc. I looked around my room and double-checked.

"Everything good?" Jimin asked peering into my bag.

"Yep!" I zipped it.

I looked at the clock. I'd 20 minutes to get ready. More than enough!

I hastily pulled on a hoodie over a black shirt over a T-shirt taking care of coldness. Braided my long hair leaving some annoying strands over my face. Pulled on thick socks and finally boots. Some creams over my face and a lip balm. Done!

"You really get ready fast, Mia," remarked Jimin who was watching me, "In my country, usually girls take like forever." he chuckled.

"It's not only in your country, Jimin" I remarked stuffing my face wash and creams into the side pocket of my backpack. "If you wanna see girls, go into the room opposite mine."

"Oh I forgot, you don't belong to that category," he said sarcastically.

"Fortunately, yeah. Your small brain made sense of at least that" I deadpanned.

"Forget what I said" he shook his head.

I chuckled.

"Woah, did the cold-hearted Mia just CHUCKLE!!" he exclaimed.

"Do you wanna die?" I shot a glare.

"And she's back" he sighed, "Oh, and by the way, I'm almost dead".

"Nope, not on my watch" I shook my head crossing my arms.

"You don't get to decide that" he scoffed.

"Park Jimin is gonna wake up from his coma and I'm gonna help you with that," I said sternly.

"Are you that eager to send me back?" he pouted.

"You don't belong here, Jimin," I said frustrated.

"But I don't want to got back, not yet at least" he mumbled.

"Huh?" I looked at him with an are-you-kidding-me look.

"Jimin, come here," I said sighing and gesturing for him to come near.

"No, you are going to do something, right?" he asked backing away.

I shook my head.

He hesitantly came towards me. Right when he reached in front of me, I flicked his forehead.

"Ouch!" he rubbed his forehead.

"Don't talk nonsense" I said angrily.

"Yah! That hurt," he said pouting still rubbing.

"I've been meaning to do that so long. And drop the act, you can't be hurt."

"It did hurt!" he exclaimed but smiled sheepishly seeing my raised eyebrow, "Here" he pointed towards his chest where his heart was supposed to be.

"Aish...Libra" I said disgusted and walked away.

He chuckled with his eyes closed.

I was bobbing my head to the music in my ears. It was BTS Spring Day. The lyrics are so awesome and the feeling the song provides is so strong and deep. It's one of their favorite songs I like. The sceneries outside gave a finishing touch to the song. The mist-filled valleys are visible as we ascended the hill. White fogs were everywhere covering almost everything visible. The peaks of the hills were visible amidst the fog giving an impression of them peaking from the veils. It was early morning and the sunlight was seeping through the foggy mountain ranges. It felt like the sun was afraid to harm the fogs and are letting them survive for a little longer considering himself lazy. All in all, the panoramic view of the place was just awesome.

I took out my camera and captured everything I could take through the car's window. It felt refreshing to be breathing in the air of nature after a long time.

"Let's stop by somewhere to eat breakfast" announced dad.

We stopped by a small restaurant on our way to grab our breakfast. I finished it quickly and went outside to take pictures with my camera. I was standing by a railing and clicked some shots.

"This place is beautiful," remarked Jimin, "I never knew Kerala was this beautiful".

"You've never heard of this place, right?" I asked clicking another shot and rubbed my hands together.

"No, and I regret it. My members should definitely see this" he smiled gesturing around.

"You are always welcome" I bowed smiling.

"I'm glad I get to see all these," he said looking ahead.

"Thank me" I smirked.

"Yeah, I thank you. I owe you a great debt" he said.

"Aish, formal language" I rolled my eyes.

"Sorry-"

"Mia...let's go!" called dad as he walked towards our car.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We roamed around many places and went to trecking. I got a good bunch of photos exploring around. All of us were happy and were laughing loudly. I had occasionally caught Jimin staring at us with a smile and happy expression. I did feel a little creepy knowing that a ghost is with us and none of my family knows that they were being watched. But Jimin was actually enjoying his time with us. He laughed along with us though he did not know what we were saying at all. It was as if he was actually there. I felt contented seeing him smile somehow.

It was dusk after a tiring yet exciting day. We were huddled around the fire above which my father was grilling chicken. My sisters were huddled near the fire with a large blanket above their shoulders. I was writing in my diary about today and all the adventures. And Jimin sat beside me watching my family.

"You've got a wonderful family, you know," he said smiling at my mother and father who was acting all lovey-dovey again. It's been 20 years since they're married but they are still everyone's model couple.

I hummed, finally closing my diary.

"I envy you" he muttered.

I turned to him. His eyes still remained on my family, "Why?"

He turned to me, "I've not gotten to see my family properly in years, Mia. I...I miss them".

"Don't you have vacations?" I whispered. I was away from them, so I won't be heard much.

"But it's never the same. To them, I'm a famous and rich Park Jimin. No one sees my original side except for my members. My mom and dad always supported me but I don't know about others anymore." he sighed.

"Isn't that enough? Your mom and dad?"

"I just sometimes want to go back and change some things. Sometimes I wish I hadn't become an idol in the first place. Everything would've been different." there was uncertainty in his eyes.

"People think about that quite often. Regrets. But there is always a reason why things happen their way. There is always something we get in this way. For you, can you imagine a world without your members? If you had chosen any other way would you have met them? No, trust me, things happen for a reason." I said.

He nodded but the doubts in his eyes were still there.

Then I heard Liya singing some song lighting up the mood. Jimin immediately closed his eyes and hummed to the tune with a small smile. Liya's voice is very sweet, she has the ability to soothe people's moods and heal minds. That's why sometimes she's called the Nightingale of our family. And looks like Jimin is her patient now.

I don't have anything like that, but I'll say this.

I'll help you, Jimin. I'll help you get back to your life.

I promise.

And I'm not someone who believes that promises are meant to be broken.
