Chapter XIII The Season Finale

The next day Arlo, Remi, Isen, and Blyke wake up. They pack their bags early and head back to the bus. It took them to the train, which then took them up north to their dorms. Arlo and Isen squished to the edge of their bench as Remi and Blyke display PDA. As the bus takes them from the train back to the dorms, Arlo finds himself drowsy. All he could think about was John. It made him bitter, angry, and hateful. He looks over to see Isen squishing up against him and his other two friends getting "kissy" which made him even more bitter inside. "How can they all be so unaffected by this?" he asked himself. His eyes drift up to see a crowd at the front entrance of Wellston High.

"Excuse me?" Meili asked. "Yeah, I said it! Don't think I haven't noticed, the royals decided to take a vacation during a crisis, probably fleeing with their families like a BUNCH OF COWARDS!" Zeke said with a throwthing mouth. "You shut up!" Ventus said as he pointed his arms of furry. "Oh? How are you guys gonna beat me?" Zeke asked with a rather creepy smile.

"Do the math, 3.8+3.8=7.6, together we're a high tier, a lot stronger than you, some loser elite tier who needs to bully those who are nearly cripples. 4.2 has nothing on us!" Meili said rather cockily. Zeke grows an evil smile. "So they don't know, do they?" He thought excitedly. Zeke uses his stronger phase shift to attack Meili, Meili uses her demon claws to strike Zeke, but he goes into defense form, the claws are rendered useless. Zeke takes Meili and throws her against a wall, knocking her out. Ventus chuckles as he shoots a whirlwind at Zeke, throwing him off of Meili and slamming into a brick wall against the school. "You think you're scary?!" He asks, laughing with fear. "We almost died to John!" Zeke grits his teeth and turns his head, feeling the pressure of the wind crushing him against the school. "So did I retard!" Zeke finds the strength to get on his feet and walk towards Ventus. Ventus uses his second arm, doubling the strength of his wind. "He's not here to save you now! IS HE!!!" Ventus struggles to keep Zeke back as Zeke uses his defensive form to move forward. "Don't act like he would either, we all bullied him, don't act like you didn't! Once John gets full control of the school we're all as good as dead!"

Zeke dashes towards Ventus once Ventus finally feels the strain of his energy deplete. Zeke then goes behind Ventus and kicks him towards a wall. He knocks Ventus's head on the bricks causing him to bleed. Meili crawls to Zeke and grabs his ankle, using her claw to pierce through it. Zeke winces from the pain and looks down to see Meili looking up at him with rage. Her eyes carry a ferocious look. "Leave him alone!" she said, coughing blood. Zeke laughs at her, looking over at a beaten up Holden. Roland walks out of the building to see Zeke beating up Meili.

"What can I do, why get beat up for nothing?" Roland asks as he watches helplessly. Holden gets up, grabbing Holden as he activates his ability. "Kid, just run" he says before collapsing back onto the ground. Roland imagines Evie under the rule of Zeke. His blood boils and his eyes glow. "LEAVE THEM ALONE!" he roars as he begins to charge at Zeke, Who looks over to see Roland charging at him. Roland lands a punch on Zeke, his nose is now broken and bloody. He takes a step back as he turns into his defensive form. "You bastard!" he yells, holding his nose. Zeke goes into offensive form and lands a heavy punch on Roland, breaking a rib and sending him flying. Suddenly Zeke is now standing over Roland, his eyes glowing emerald green. "I will make you regret that!" Suddenly an orange laser pierces Zeke's arm, breaking his shoulder blade and putting him out an arm.

"W-WHAT THE?!" Zeke thought as he saw a pair of orange and white eyes staring at him. "That's enough!" Evie yelled, pulling down her hoodie as she got ready to shoot another bolt.

Evie, Laser bolt, new ability level, 5.1. 

"No fucking way will I let someone like you beat me!" Zeke thought as he charged at Evie. As Zeke runs at her with rapid speed, Evie takes a knee and aims with her arm holding her shooting arm. She shoots some more lasers at him but gets knocked into a wall, she gets back up and starts to engage when suddenly Zeke's other arm gets shattered by a yellow barrier. He screams horrible, his blue hair covered in some of his blood. He looks over to see Arlo standing over him. Behind him at Remi, Isen, and Blyke. Arlo looks over to see Holden on the ground with Roland supporting him. He walks over to Zeke and grabs him by the collar. "You're not even scary, you're a nuisance. How come a freak like John can't even scare you?" Arlo asks as Zeke spits blood on him. Arlo then slams Zeke's head into his knee, breaking his skull. Evie shoots another laser at Zeke's kneecap. Arlo looks at Evie in horror.

"Evie, did you just?"

Evie looks at him with anger from fighting Zeke. She then walks over to Roland and takes him to the infirmary. Arlo continues to stare at her with wide eyes as she carries Holden to the infirmary. She looks back at Arlo with disgust. "You should have done this a long time ago. Don't you dare to look at us like that. One day you'll know what it's like to be on the ground like the rest of us." Arlo's eyes furrow back at her. "I already have, jerk" he thought before he looked back at Remi, Isen, and Blyke. Isen and Blyke take Meili and Ventus to the infirmary. Remi just sighs as Arlo gives her a look. "This is all my fault" Arlo thought to himself. 

"John is much more liked because I have neglected my true duties" Arlo then looks up at the sky for a brief moment. "And I'm sure that Joker is well hated for the same reasons. This is all my fault" he sheds a tear before clenching his fists. "I am the only true one who believes in this system, when properly done. I will be the one to fix this whole thing." Arlo thought all of this as he heard a familiar voice.

"Hey, now that I'm king, you have to heal me!" Arlo looks over to see Elaine running to Zeke, panting as she finds herself tripping over him. "I'm sorry!" she yells as she's grabbed. Her hand placed on his chest as Zeke looked directly in her eyes. Arlo looks at Zeke, remembering the tales John told the others, remembering the complaints of the student body. "If I had a Joker of my own" Arlo thought as he walked over to Zeke, who's devilish smile turns uncanny. Arlo sees himself grabbing Elaine with an evil glare. He sees himself as Zeke for a moment, and with rage he lifts up his evil clone. "If I had a joker, I'd finish the fucking job with one swing!" Arlo roars as he slams his fist into Zeke's jaw. He then slams his head on the pavement again out of anger, rage, and fear. Making sure a huge blood spatter appears on the ground. The crowd gasps, Arlo takes a moment to pause as he sees Zeke laying on the ground motionless. Roland sees Arlo staring at his hands, shaking as he looks around at the quiet crowd. "Arlo!" Elaine yells as she grabs his arm and pulls him. "Let's go!" Roland grabs Zeke, using all his strength to carry him as the crowd begins to cheer. Arlo looks around confused. "We won't say shit, just go!" Roland says as Elaine drags Arlo away. Arlo grows a faint smile as he hears the applause of Wellston high. "I knew it" he thought. "I am the system incarnate" 

 "I will fix all of this"

Arlo finds himself in Elaine's room, the silence awkward. Elaine breaks the silence. "Wanna tell me about New Washington?" she asks. Arlo touches Elaine's hand softly, looking at her with a smile. "Yeah, I'd like that" Elaine says with a smile. He hugs Elaine, wanting to break the tension. Elaine hugs him back. "I love you so much" she says, and with no warning Arlo's heart beats out of its chest. He holds Elaine, compressing her as he hugs her tight. "I messed up" he cries as she holds him tightly. "You're the kind of person they will pick on." Arlo says as he continues to hold Elaine in his arms. "What does that mean?" Elaine asks with slight irritation. She then sees tears running down Arlo's face as he looks into hers. "Arlo?" she asks, concerned. "It means, I'm going to fix the problem John pointed out." Elaine pauses for a moment, remembering her cruel words to John before looking away. "Yeah, right" she says. "Arlo, there's something you should know."

Meanwhile, Roland is waking up with Evie next to him, he looks around to see Holden, Meili, and Ventus in the beds across from him. "Uh, Evie, what happened?" Roland asks. "Y-you got beat up, so I had to take you to the infirmary" Evie says slightly nervously. "So, you're back, huh?" he asks. "What pushed Zeke?" Evie asked. "Yesterday Zeke found out that all of our high tiers were gone for an indefinite period of time. The school at first was outraged, angry at the fact that you all left us to his rule. But I knew he wasn't in charge. The school at first did not mind him, but just like the masked people, people realized that his cronies were growing more and more. They hated him and his people, and when we ganged up on his army and beat them to a pulp, he lashed back at everyone." Holden takes a moment before continuing. "We tried our best to fight him off, but when Arlo did what he did we knew something was about to change. Now they're ready for John as their King. He must have influenced Arlo in some way." Holden sighs. 

"We were lured out into the courtyard by his gang, posing as scared students. The grape vine has an interesting message about who was behind that operation." 

"Who?" Evie asked.

"Terrance."

Evie's eyes widened with fear. She remembers the stalker that Sera told her about who could turn invisible, how Jake called him an invisible rat. "Hey, Roland?" Evie asked, Roland nods. "I think we need to keep Terrance close right now." Holden's eyes widened with horror. "I think we might have an ember agent."

Meanwhile in the ninth Ring of Hell. A small town turning into a city called Wellston was re-created, Joker walks around as a cripple for all of eternity, doomed to repeat the same mistakes of his life, the new King of Hell, Sin of Wrath and Pride stuck in his own Pride to suffer his own wrath. He bumps into Arlo, Holden pulls him back.

"HEY, WHO THE HELL DO YOU-"

Arlo grabs Holdens hand, Joker was on his fifth round of life, at this point he's beaten up Meili, Ventus, and Arlo plenty of times. Arlo at this point knows his powers, but the only one who remembers how the future played out...was him. "Don't, touch him!" Everyone looks around to see Arlo defending the cripple. "A-Arlo, what are you?" Joker gives them a glare. "You're one of the strongest students here, right? You're powerful too, right? Then why not do something productive, instead of wasting your time flexing, on this worthless human."

"Come on, let's go" Arlo says walking away. "Man, in all of the time I've known him, he's never snapped like that before" Holden thought, watching Arlo walk away in disgust. "John, you disgust me, you have all of that power, and you waste it withering away like some victim. You're no good to society. Not only that, you dragged Seraphina with you to leave all of this burden on me." Arlo shakes his fists with bitterness. "Your power can be used to serve this society, to rule over those with dignity, honor, and to protect the classes from clashing."

"Cowards!"

Joker continues to stare at Arlo and Holden as they walk away. "Nothing will ever change" he utters as he looks down at his reflection on the floor. "It's not my fault, and yet somehow all of existence says otherwise." Joker's eyes glow gold.

Meanwhile in Northern Nation, John and Sera are waking up and getting ready to go home. As they pack their happiness soon fades to despair. "She knew my mom" John said as he turned to Seraphina. "What?" she asks. "She knew my mom. The same woman who almost killed Remi and Isen. The same woman who killed Rei while he was X-Rei. The aunt to Arlo and Blyke." Sera's eyes stare into John's soul. "What?" she asks in horror. "Yeah well, she's the one who's gonna be sorry, for killing my dad." John says bitterly as he clenches his fist. "What do you mean, you think she was the one who killed your Dad?" John shakes his head. "I don't know for sure, but Arlo said that she still talks to him. He might be alive, he might not be. I don't know anymore." As John looks around the room, Arlo did the same in his current room.

Arlo looks around the destroyed room, he takes a chair and throws it out the window.

"THAT FUCKING BITCH!"

"LEAVING BLYKE, AND HER FUCKING SON!"

 Arlo and John proceed to crash out, with Sera rushing to hold John. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to lash out like that, I just, oh God." John falls to the ground crying. Sera comes up behind him and hugs him. Arlo does the same as he felt the warmth of no one to hold him.

"I just, I just wish my mom actually wasn't a piece of shit" John said to Sera as she kissed his head. "You know what the worst part is?" John asks as he looks into Sera's eyes. "She was the one who is behind your ability loss!" Sera looks at John gently. She takes a deep breath as she pulls John's head towards her. "Ember kills their victims, these guys, they may have had to kill me if they needed to, but they seemed more focused on bringing me alive, like someone had it out for me." John sighs. "That's just the thing, I've been looking into Ember, they have multiple divisions, one focuses on research on abilities, one focuses on selling their products, and one supplies tools for their operations. I think they had some "elites" buy out NXGen since it was recently sold for five million to the authorities themselves."

"Wait, did you just say NXGen?" Sera asks. John nods in response. "That's my parents' company!" John looks up at Sera spooked. "Wait a second, they sold for money, and before that the equipment from the rival company was used on you! On top of that NXGen had a break in!" John looks out at the broken city, seeing the remains of a former civilization. "Could she have really stopped them?" John asks as he stands up, walking over to the open window. "With what? The same tech they used to kidnap me? And probably traffic many more who weren't as lucky as me?!" John looks back at Sera as a gust of wind blows by him. "This is the heiarchy's fault." John spoke as he saw Arlo in his mind smiling. "If people are to be crippled, may not one person have any power left. Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption." Sera stands up. "See John, she's a liar. She's just in on whatever the hell is going on." Sera joins John. "They all are." 

"Well then, I say fuck the authorities."

"We all have talents, talents that can't be measured on a triangle.

"I will flip the whole damn thing upside down, and make it collapse into itself. I won't stop until we have a system that works for everyone."

Sera looks at John with concern. "What will you replace it with?" John looks back at Sera. "Democracy" John utters. "Power has its merits, but so will the mind. I don't care what Arlo has to say anymore. Brains and brawns will be equal in my world." John grabs Sera's hand, meanwhile Arlo grabs a portrait of him and Elaine as tears fall onto it. "I will tear down his precious system, and replace it with pure freedom itself, democracy, free flowing ideas, the power of intellect." John then looks down at the ground as he embraces Sera.

 "After all we've been through, you'll always still be my political enemy" John and Arlo thought to themselves.

Meanwhile in ZetaSci corp in Orlando, Leilah is working in the lab on some DNA samples. Suddenly she gets a call from her boss. "You wanted to see me sir?" she asks.

"Yes, I wanted to inform you that starting next week you will be working in Wellstons ZetaSci branch, you see we have someone from NXGen moving here since we bought out the corporation." Leilah nods. "I understand sir." "Good, I apologize for the sudden notice," her boss states. "It's not a problem sir" she responds. "Go home now, you should rest up, it'll be a long flight." Leilah walks out.

"Good, if I didn't catch her soon she would have found out about my little secret." The man thought to himself as horrible memories of his confinement in NXGen flooded his mind. His ability, how he got it, and finally, the people he swore revenge on. 

The Family who owned the company, starting with the daughters. 

The man then makes a call to Valcon.

"I have NXGen in my position, now, I'm sending someone to Wellston, her sister is also there, you know what the deal we made is if I worked for you?" Valcon nods. "Of course, what's one high tier for someone like yourself?" He smiles creepily. "Good, I'll be heading up there to take care of someone who might get in the way of this." He says as he hangs up the call and brandishes a katana.

One day later everyone is back in school. Everything reopens and the threat of a tyrant government drops. Sera and John are on the roof playing games while Blyke and Isen are wrestling with their abilities while people bet on who would win. Isen resembled Naruto, while Blyke resembled a fighter from Dragon Ball. Remi is rushing to deescalate the situation when she sees Arlo spaced out. "Uhh, Arlo, hey, are you okay?" she asks, he stares down at Elaine who talks to some friends. "I uhh, I'm fine, I just kinda been reflecting on everything that's been happening" he says sadly. "You maybe wanna talk about it?" Arlo turns to Remi and smiles a little. "Sure" he says, remembering his words to Elaine after her confession. 

"Elaine?" Arlo asked her yesterday in her room. "From now on, I need you to be by my side on everything." Elaine takes a moment to wipe her tears. "What do you mean?" Arlo wraps her in his arms. "We made mistakes that we cannot undo, so from now on…" Elaine looks up into Arlo's eyes. "Let's work to set the right example…" 

 Of what the true hierarchy should look like.

"Remi?" Arlo asks as he sees Elaine look up to him and smile, blowing a kiss subtly before running over to catch up with her friends. "I learned a lot from my little cousin," Arlo says as he leans over the balcony, lighting a cigarette. "I learned that people like us owe it to them down there" Arlo says this pointing to the crowd in the courtyard. "We owe it to make sure that the classes never clash. That those who are strong, only fight those within their tier. That the bullying ends." Remi raises her head and looks at Arlo. "Well of course, isn't that what we've been trying to do?" Arlo shakes his head as he takes a puff. "Not all of us, not Blyke or Isen, and especially not me." A moment passes as wind flows throughout the school. "Those of us at the top right now want nothing more than to live like Kings. To live as elites and escape the problems of the common man. We oppress the masses to create a world that works for the few of us on top, and not for everyone who's helped and supported us. 

"I don't follow," Remi says. "When we oppress those beneath us, we create people like Zeke, people like those who kidnapped Seraphina, those like Joker. In the end, oppression eventually comes back to the oppressor. No one can win under the perverted system that is taking place." Arlo puts out his cigarette. "The devil tiers, the enemy nation, these are some of the bigger consequences of this flawed and broken system that if left untreated, can ruin society. I've been affected, and was too naive to see it. Watching you almost die to our own government agents.." Arlo says agents with air quotes. "That is all because those at the top have abused their destiny." Arlo takes a deep breath. "High tiers need to become the serving class. Otherwise, if those who have nothing keep giving, we will all end up with nothing."

Arlo then turns to Remi. "I will serve, by taking down my aunt, and this whole system will one day be run by me. Make no mistake Elaine, I will rule this country. Those like John who were once cripples, or remain cripples for life, they will have the opportunity to live peaceful lives. I will give everything I have to this country, as its hierarchy. Arlo hands Remi some files. "Starting with this. These are copies of documents that prove that Ember buys and sells from those demons." Remi takes a step back and looks at the documents with fear. 

"I will find out what more resources are being used to fund these terrorists within our government, and I will cut them out like a cancer." Remi's hands tremble as she hands Arlo the files back. "Either the authorities have no intention of stopping them, they simply outsmarted the authorities and are now too powerful or undetected, or worst of them all...."

Ember are the authorities.

 The two are interrupted as they notice John helping Elaine out with dispersing the crowd around Isen and Blyke's sparring session. Sera films the whole thing on her phone, laughing to herself. "Wow, who knew that this man would go from a helmet looking weirdo who was scared of The Ring, to this tank of a man" Sera thought as John dragged both Blyke and Isen by the ears. "Guys check this out!" Sera says as she suddenly appears before Remi and Arlo, holding her phone out which shows a funny video of John dragging Blyke and Isen. She puts her phone away, and everyone looks out to see the school at peace. The bell rings, and off to class everyone goes.

Everyone but John.

"Cecile did nothing?!" John pauses, noticing Sera's voice as she asks that question in astonishment. "Yeah, she just sat by and did her own thing." John finds himself pressing up against the wall. "Odd, but predictable. She was never the ruler type" John thought to himself, he hears the voices of Remi, Arlo, and Seraphina. Blyke and Isen sat in the back of the room silent for a while, until they brought up the name Eddie. "He saved us from that red headed government asshole!" Isen said. "Yeah, then he just disappeared."

"Eddie?" John thought. "Red headed ass-" His eyes widened in horror. His pulse races, his anger rises, his body melts. "KEON!" he thought. "The guy tried to kill me" Remi said as she began to self soothe herself. "I know John works with the guy, but now I'm worried he's gonna get played. These people are animals" Arlo said to the group. Seraphina just sat there and began to sob, making John's eyes widen with panic. "What do you mean I can't tell him?! I'm scared for him!" She asks sobbing. Remi sits next to her, rubbing her back for comfort. "We just have to think about how we'll tell him. It's not easy to just drop that kind of thing on someone." John clenches his heart as he remembers the brutal punishment he went through. "Wait, there's no way John is in total darkness. He has to have some inkling here. We should just ask about his relationship with the guy. He might give us some details we might not even be aware of" Blyke suggests.

"Keon, you may be able to hurt me…."

"But them? I should have taken care of you a long time ago" John says as he finds himself shaking, jiggling the door handle by mistake. He looks over to see Sera opening it in an instant. "Um, hello-" she pauses as everyone in the room sees John. "Fuck" Isen says as he along with the others look away with shame. "John?" Sera asks, reaching her arms out to him. He steps away for a moment. "John please, it's been a rough month. It's not like that, we were worried!" Sera begs as John continues to look at them all. "They're all against you" Joker whispers. "You'll always be an outsider to them" he utters into his ear. John finds himself clenching his chest, his heart pacing as he looks around with tears blurring his eyes. "John, please under-" John pulls in Sera for a hug. 

"You're going down a dangerous road" John heard a voice, opposing Joker. "Lord, you know I must." John gives Sera a quick peck "we'll talk later sweetie" he says casually before darting off. "Shit! It's worse than we thought!" Sera says as she looks into the room before chasing John down. "JOHN! WAIT!" Remi yells as the royals one by one find themselves running after him. "John, what do you think you're doing?" John manages to take enough sharp turns before dropping down the stairwell, copying a portal ability that allows him to escape the school. "Where did he go?!" Remi yells as Sera finds herself staring at a kid who's fooling around with his ability, summoning portals. He looks over to Sera, who gives him a glare of death. "SERA! NO!" The kid walks through the green portal as it makes portal noises, transporting to the school yard as the green goo makes its mark. Sera finds herself staring out the window as The Golden God takes off from Wellston grounds. "He'll be fine" Sera says softly. "He's just….." The royals were all dead silent. 

"So you're just gonna dispose of him, he's a human not some tool you can just throw out!" The Lord shouted over the many screaming voices of Joker. "I have to do this, make sure he doesn't hurt anymore people!" John yelled back. "I see then, nothing is changing your mind." John looks up at the sky bitterly. "You gave me free will, what's the point if you're saying there is a wrong choice?" John says this as he teleports to his dorm. "Freedom is the choice to do what's right, not whatever you desire!" John sends Keon a text to meet him on the roof of Wellston's mayor's office, doing so while suiting up. "This is what's right!"

Later that night. John walks on the roof towards Keon.

"After everything he's done? Taking you in an-" 

"NO! HE USED US! JUST LIKE HOW WE'RE USING HIM!" Joker yelled back. 

"This does not concern you demon" The Lord said, making Joker crumble to his knees in agony and pain.

"John, why are you trying to act like Joker huh, playing God with others life, suits your name!"

John pauses as Keon looks at him. God's words hit him like a train. "John? You changed your mind, you wanna tell me why?" John looks away in disgust. "You keep asking but your God, you should know everything." Keon looks at John confused. "Who are you talking to?" John dashes at Keon, launching him from one roof to another, he then jumps on it and pounds his fists on the ground, Keon doges and tries kicking John. John parries it as he copies Keon's ability. "John, what are you?!"John shows Keon his past, what he did to Remi, Arlo, John, and Isen. "YOU, HOW FUCKING DARE YOU!" John yells as he holds Keon over the ledge of the roof. "John, how do you know about that?!" John pins Keon on the ground, breaking his hand, practically crushing it, turning some of his bones into dust.

"If I EVER FIND YOU TRYING TO KILL ANY OF MY FRIENDS, OR SEND THEM TO TORTURE SESSION, OR EVEN TALKING THEM, NO LOOKING AT THEM, I WILL KILL YOU. NOT JUST KILL, I WILL MAKE YOUR FAMILY WATCH. YOUR WIFE WILL SCREAM IN HORROR AS SHE COVERS YOUR DAUGHTERS EYES AS I RIP YOU TO SHREDS!

"G-Get off of me YOU FREAK!"

Keon shoves John off of him, John sends a hard punch to Keon's head, knocking him off a building and breaking his ankle, he then corners him in an alleyway. "Please, what do you want?" Keon yells in pain.

"Quit"

"What?"

"Quit your job, NOW, Or I swear I'll kill you tomorrow! You are now DONE! FIRED!" Keon shakes with fear as he reaches for his gun, only for John to shoot a projectile that stabs Keon's hand. He yells in pain, feeling the blood dripping all over his arm and body. "Why, I have a family to feed, I have a kid to raise, I love them like you love Seraphina okay?" John grabs Keon by the shirt with his hands and slams him against the wall. "How do you know so much about me!" Keon, too scared to answer, continues to ramble on. "Please, I have a family, I know you're hurt. I just did my job, I have orders John!"

"Who ordered you to torture your targets?!" John asks as he slams Keon into the wall. "Please John, let's just talk this through!" "SHUT UP!" John Kicks Keon in the gut, causing him to cough and wheeze. John then shoves Keon to the ground in a fit of rage, grabbing his gun in the process. He cocks the chamber before pointing it at him. "John, no! WAIT!" John hesitates as his hand shakes, remembering the abuse during his lock up. "Please, give me one good reason" John asks with a sincere tone. Keon at this point is crying out of fear as he looks up at John. "You know we're constantly tasked to do society's dirty work." John begins to put some pressure on the trigger. "Do you really think we're all as heartless as the demons you battle with?" John begins to lower his arm. "You think it ends with us here in the New States? It's everywhere John. This system is everywhere and it takes the form of many different kinds of governments. You can't fight it all. Kid, go home to your friends, your good school and loving girlfriend. Go home and take a rest." John crushes the gun, tossing it back to Keon. "I work alone now, and I don't ever wanna see your face again." 

John begins to walk away, leaving Keon bruised in an alleyway. John looks up at the darkening sky as his cape flows with the wind. "You going to judge me now for the mental illness you permitted?" John asks the sky. He then looks down with shame. "I did what you asked." John then looks to see a figure standing before him. "Come on John…." 

 "Let's go home"

Meanwhile in the courts of Heaven, Jake is on the judges stand looking at some files, sorting documents by their dates and alphabetical order. "Stupid census" Jake says, chuckling. Jake takes another stack of papers, as he moves them he senses the presence of someone familiar. He turns around to see her face, staring right back at him, those purple eyes he got lost in that day. "Hey there!" Noelleia spoke as her soft eyes laid their sight upon Jake.

Jake looks at her, he immediately rushes over, shocked and overjoyed. "I can't believe you're here, I just, I thought I'd never see you again. Noelleia laughs as she goes to hug Jake. "Oh, you thought I was somewhere else now?" Jake feels his skin grow cold. "Uhh, nononononono that's not what I-" Noelleia locks lips with Jake to shut him up for a solid minute. "I'm just messing with you." Jake chuckles as he holds her close. "Haha, some things never change" he then pulls her in for a tight hug. "And never will."
