The First Quest
A couple days has passed and nothing has happened, only Itami getting his own room. After listening to an argument between Kazuma and the others, he decides to go outside. Rurunu hops onto his shoulder and joins Itami outside as they hear Aqua whining " I don't want to get off the couch! Its sooo warm! "
*How did I get in this party again?*
Itami stretches as he breathes in the cold spring air, blanking out staring at the sky as he hears yelling from within the house. " They can't be quiet for one second cant they?" He looks down at Rurunu waiting for a response but the slime looks back at him and jiggles itself as a response. "Oh yeah,you're a slime… Am I going crazy? ". Being lost in his thoughts again, Rurunu notices a falling Kazuma and kotatsu.
-CRASH-
Both the kotatsu and Kazuma land on Itami, his face planted in the cold snow. Bits of the kotatsu laid on the ground as Itami painfully mutters " Why is it always me…", Kazuma slowly pats his back as he groans " Thanks for breaking my fall.". Rurunu nudges Itamis head as Rurunu only hears him cursing to himself.
Kazuma groglery got up as Itami continued to lay on the lightly snow covered ground. Kazuma was about to say something till they heard the yell of a woman knocking on their door. " Mr. Satou! Mr Satou! Are you there!?". Both Kazuma and Itami sighed simultaneously as they recognized who was at the door.
After hiding Rurunu in Itami's room they let the panicking Sena in. " Mr. Satou, this is terrible! The Lizard Runners outside town!" Before the pale Sena can continue, Itami interrupts her " Let me guess, you can't deal with them and you want us to deal with them instead? ".
After hearing this comment Sena straightens herself up and continues " ahem.. Yes, we would like your help on taking care of the Lizard Runners." Both Kazuma and Itami cross their arms as Kazuma replies " And what does that have to do with us? I'm guessing that the Guild has already put up the quest on the board? Why personally come to me?"
" What are you talking about Mr. Satou? You helped us in our troubles in a dungeon, home to one of the Generals of the demon king? You also said 'We have to protect the people of the town. That's an Adventures duty.'"
Itamit's face cringed as he leaned away from Kazuma "What a lousy thing to say" " Tch, and who defeated two of the demon king's generals?" Kazuma smirked.
" Oh, coming from the same person who got beaten up by a little girl in the bath?" Senas face turned into disgust as she continued to listen. " I told you I'm not little!" Megumin fumed while attempting to hit Itami but she ends up swinging her arms near Itami as he sticks out his hand stopping the angry Megumin.
" How do you know that!" Kazuma choked as Sena looked at him with disapproving eyes. " I see now why they call you Trashzuma…" Kazuma and Itami start to argue as Darkness talks to Sena instead.

*Couple Days Ago*
Itami and Megumin are relaxing at the mansion while the others are out at Wiz's shop, both of them watching the crackling fire from the fireplace."Where's Rurunu?" Megumin asked, resting her head on the table. "Outside eating the bugs...Maybe an animal or two…" He then started to examine his smaller sword while Megumin blankly watched him. " How many monsters have you killed with your swords?"
Without a thought in mind, Itami muttered " Too many…" Megumin raised her head from curiosity. " What was that?"
"Oh, a lot I'm guessing, although I haven't killed one of the Demon King's Generals though, honestly how did you guys kill two Generals?" He said while putting away the sword. Megumin stretched her arms out and puts her head back down on the table " Honestly, I have no idea. Maybe its just pure dumb luck but I like to think that we did it with our strength and teamwork". Itami commented " Most likely like but Kazuma seems to be the luckiest since I haven't seen no one defeat him in battle."
" I defeated him once," Megumin added. Itami stopped putting blades on the table as he heard Megumin " Wait how?". Megumin confidently said " Well we were in a bath and Aqua was gonna barge in on us getting the wrong ide-" She stopped herself realizing what she's saying and saw Itami with a worried look staring at her. Megumin sat back down trying to make herself smaller as her face was bright red. " No wonder they call him Trashzuma and Kazutrash…" He mutters while cleaning his other blades.

*Present*
After the morning argument, Darkness made the decision to help out with the Lizard Runners.
"So before we go deal with the lizards, we have to go to the Blacksmith's first?" Itami said while opening the back door for Rurunu.
" Yeah since I got something special made for me...Also why are there bones inside of Rurunu?" Kazuma questioned as he and the others witnessed Itami pulling out bones from Rurunu's body. " and why is your hand not melting?..." Aqua added being mortified by the bones `` ar...are they also human bones…"
" To answer your first question, he can control his corrosive body to a point where it's safe to put your hand in, as for the other question...I cant for sure answer that…" Itami shrugged as he said the last point making the others a bit scared of touching Rurunu. " I believe that this might be some bird bones and…. Let's not talk about this one.." They then see Itami throwing a long bone out the window.
"THAT'S A HUMAN BONE!" the others yelled
After some time of calming down, they made their way through Axel. Itami was lagging behind as he was capturing the town, looking at everything. " You really haven't explored this town?" Darkness asked staying behind waiting for him to catch up. Itami shaked his head agreeing "No not at all, I only know this one place but I don't think I can tell you..."
"Oh, well then how about when we have some free time, I'll show you around?" " Sure" Itami answered as the tugging of Rurunu in his satchel distracts him from seeing Darkness catching up with the party. " Calm down will you" Then a pleasant aroma catches his nose as he looks down one street and sees it filled with food vendors. Both of them are captivated by the smells and go in a different direction from the rest of the party. They see people selling different kinds of food from pastries to meats, they both look and go to each food carts.
After spending most of their money on food, Itami finds a place to sit under a tree, putting down his satchel. He dumps half of the food to Rurunu in the stachel as he digs himself in with the other half. The both of them devour the food and as they relax, Itami sees a happy family walking around. He smiles softly and chuckles to himself as he sees them having fun " If only…". Rurunu notices his depressing smile and nudges himself with the bag to be next to him, he pats the slime as he softly smiles again " You'll always be there for me huh?" After a couple of minutes, Itami spots Megumin walking ahead of them. He then picks up the satchel that's carrying Rurunu inside and heads towards her.
*Weird? Why is she wearing different clothing?*
" Hey Megumin where are the othe-" Itami stops Megumin but to only realize it's not her at all " Oh I'm so sorry!". He had stopped a young girl with the same crimson eyes as Megumin. The girl freaks out a bit looking everywhere but at Itami " It- its okay, but you know my rival Megumin?". " You can say that since we're in the same party" Itami answered as he scratches the back of his head. " You joined her party!" The little crimson girl yelped from hearing Itami. " Oh I'm sorry, it's just that it's surprising that somebody else can get in her party." Itami awkwardly smiled " It's okay". There's an awkward silence between the two, but it is interrupted by her growling stomach. She blushes slightly from embarrassment.
" You hungry?". She nods her head and looks down at the ground. Itami sighs as he begins to walk towards a food vendor. " Ojeolal Buns here! Get your Ojeolal Buns!" The food vendor yelled as Itami approached him " How much for a couple of them?". " For one of our delicious buns it would be 500 eris each but I'll throw two more on the house for you and your lady friend over there." The Vendor gave Itami a wink and a wide smile as he held out fresh buns. " Sure, thanks for the buns" Itami gives the man 500 eris as his wallet is now empty.
He walks back to the young girl and hands her two of the buns. Her face lights up but she looks down in disappointment " I don't have enough money to pay you back…". " You don't have to pay me back, it's on me." Itami bites the other bun as the girl takes the two buns, he then walks away from her, finishing his bun. " Later" Before the girl could talk, Itami was already a good distance from her but she then saw Rurunu waving bye to her from his bag. She smiled and waved back at Rurunu, eating her buns.
After some wandering around he finds Darkness looking for something and approaches her " What are you doing?". " There you are! We've been looking for you!" Darkness grabs his hand and drags him down the road " We have to hurry, the others are waiting for us!" Itami tries to pull his hand out of her grip but it doesn't budge.
*Why the hell is her grip so strong!*

Itami hangs from the lone tree as he hears Kazuma's plan to deal with the Lizard Runners. He sees Darkness ahead of them with her sword plunged into the ground, Megumin,Aqua, and Rurunu a good distance from her as Kazuma is with him on the tree. " Nice sword, compensating for something?" Itami smirked as his comment annoyed Kazuma. " Well who knows, I can say the same thing" Itami dropped down and went near Aqua, his part of the plan is to protect Aqua and Megumin. " What are you doing next to me?You need to be at my level to be next to me" Aqua boasted but Itami retaliated " Sure you might be a higher level but you still a low level compare to me"
Aqua and Itami start to bicker as Kazuma spots the horde of Lizard Runners. " You guys stop messing around! The Lizards are almost here, can you be useless somewhere else!"
" I AM NOT USELESS! Ill show you!" Aqua yelled as she looked towards Itami smirking at her " Why you!" The lizards can now be seen as Kazuma is aiming at the King Lizard. " Here let me help! I'll draw all of them here so we can get this done quicker!" Aqua then shouted " False Fire" A bright blue fire appeared in her hand as it now got the attention of all the lizards.
" Geez!" Everyone except Aqua shouted.
" Why are you guys all angry! I was trying my best to help-
don't get upset at me! I was doing my best! I know how this is gonna go now! I'm gonna get trampled to death by those ugly lizards and cry! I'm just gonna do the same thing later on! Go on! If you just want to kill me just do it!" Aqua started to flail around, spread eagle on the ground.
Itami then grabs the collar of her clothing. " Will *slap* you *slap*calm *slap* down *slap* and *slap* stop *slap* being *slap* Useless!*slap*"
After getting slapped multiple times, Aquas cheeks are glowing red as she still has tears in her eyes. Kazuma quickly saluted Itami as Megumin was shocked by what she saw, while Darkness was blushing and breathing heavily at the sight of it. Itami then ordered " Kazuma quick and deal with the lizards!"
Kazuma listened to Itami and took out the King Lizard but it only made the horde more rowdy. " Why aren't they stopping!?" Kazuma asked as the distance between them came closer. Aqua hugged her knees and grumbled " You have to take out the queen first, then the other lizards will disperse."
" Quick Megumin used your explosion magic!" Kazuma shouted.
" Leave it to me! Wah-ha-ha-ha! Explosion!"
Nothing happens.
" Where's the explosion!?" Itami shouted as the lizards are meters away. " I don't have enough MP!"
He then turns to Kazuma and sees the realization in his face. Darkness went in front of the horde as the Lizards finally reached them, Itami then grabs both girls and races in the opposite direction as Rurunu hops on his head. He then throws both of them at the tree as Rurunu cushions their impact, then Itami unsheathed his katana and cleanly chops the heads of a couple of Lizards. He then turns around and sees Darkness getting kicked around but enjoying herself.
*Note to self, dont be alone with Darkness*
The queen passes Itami and heads straight towards Kazuma and the others but before he can move, a couple of lizards got behind him. One of the lizards kicked his back and another kicked him straight in the chest breaking a couple bones.
Before he can be kicked more Itami cuts the legs off of one of them and gets under it as blood sprayed over his face, he cuts the underbelly of the Lizard as he quickly moves to another but he hears a loud crack. He turns around and sees Aqua and Megumin panicking with Kazuma at the ground. He suddenly gets kicked in the side hearing a couple of ribs being cracked, he hits the ground hard.
Itami picks himself up and sees the broken neck of Kazuma while seeing the others being protected by Rurunu. The blood from the Lizards made him see red as memories flooded his mind, he looked down at his own hands being covered by blood then looking back up. All he sees is bodies everywhere and sees a body of a woman being lit up by the moon. His right eye started to pulsate as it glows a dark purple. A wide smile comes across his face as he grabs his katana, laughing as he gets back up.
Itami blinks and he sees the lizards everywhere trampling the area, he leans his head to the left still with a malicious smile across his face as his right eye glows a dark purple.
" ke-ke-ke, bring me more"
