Chapter 30: The Night's Adventures

Cristo answered rather quickly and said at once: "Look, who is here! Stroph himself! What are you doing up at this late hour? What are you calling about?" He immediately bombarded Stroph with questions and judging by his voice, he was definitely awake and quite peppy at the moment.

It didn't take long for Stroph to answer, "Mr. Cristo, I have a question, is there any place in Terein where I can find monsters? Other than outside of the city itself." He didn't beat around the bush and said it all at once.

Just a second after his question Christo's voice came out of the bracelet, "There is one option ..."

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Cristo was prevented from continuing by a terrifying scream from the bracelet, followed by the slightly disgruntled voice of another man, "Mr. Cristo, I suggest we start pulling teeth and nails, he is too uncooperative, we won`t manage until the morning."

Then it was heard Cristo's completely calm voice: "Do what you think is right, the sooner the better: "Sorry, distracted by work, what was I saying there? Oh, yeah, I can tell you where you can find monsters, a whole bunch of monsters, but I can't just take you into that place or I'll get in trouble..." Cristo was gently leading up to something that Stroph understood perfectly.

Before he answered, he thought to himself,

"What should I do to be allowed to hunt monsters?" Stroph didn't want to do anything, of course, but he needed monsters but going out of the town and back every time was too inefficient.

"Good guy! You catch on fast, well, get to the point. The thing is, one of my area is organ trafficking and now there's a small group of people who want a piece of my pie, I'll text you their location. You have only two tasks, to kill everyone in the specified location, but you mustn`t damage any of the goods, I mean people going to organs, okay? You can do it right now, I like when everything is fast" Saying this Cristo was quite relaxed, he didn't seem to care at all about the people or that this group might cause any problems for him. It was as if he was deciding what to buy at the store.

Stroph hesitated for a while, he was thinking over whether to go now and then sleep all day or put it off until tomorrow. His eyebrows furrowed more and more with every second of his thoughts, he already knew what he would choose, but he didn't like it at all.

After about a minute and a half Stroph gritted his teeth and replied, "I'll do everything tonight, I'll go to in just a few minutes."

Hearing Stroph's reply, a satisfied voice was heard from the other side, "Good! I also sent you all the information I have, it also has the approximate strength level of your opponents."

After that Cristo simply hung up, but Stroph had one thought that stuck in his head:

There was also one important factor that influenced Stroph's decision to go that night and that was the system window, that appeared in front of him.

[Suggested quest: To accept Cristo's request and do as he asks, the reward is 1000 wish points and 4000 history coins.]

Stroph accepted the quest and agreed to Cristo's offer, the rewards were quite great, but that could only mean one thing, that the opponents would not be easy ones.

And as he opened the document Cristo had sent him, he was convinced of his hunch. Every one of this group was a fighter, both first and second rank, and there was unconfirmed information that the leader of the group was a third rank fighter.

The place, where he was going to was some old building with a large basement converted into several operating rooms.

Even though Stroph said he'd be out in a few minutes, he still continued having a shower and didn't get out until about half an hour later.

Just at the moment when he was leaving the house he saw something amazing. A matte, black car, not the cheapest series was standing right in front of his house, completely empty.

At first, he thought that someone just decided to park here, but after a few seconds he noticed that a sensor checked him, and then the front door opened.

Seeing such a scene in front of him, only one thing came to his mind.

With these thoughts he got into the car at the driver's seat.

Stroph couldn`t drive, though he wouldn't mind trying it, but there was no need for that now, because the AI itself would take him where he needed to go. No one had brought this car, it had been sent by Cristo and it came straight to Stroph's house by itself.

After giving permission to the AI, the car started immediately.

It took about twenty minutes, Stroph got out of the car and to his surprise it didn't go anywhere, it looked like Cristo or whoever had sent the car was sure that Stroph would handle the errand.

Stroph walked leisurely into the old building.

The first floor was completely empty, there were no people or any kind of security systems.

There seemed to be only two ways to get down to the basement, the stairs and the lift.

Stroph chose the stairs, in any other situation he wouldn't have even looked at it and would run straight to the lift. Although Stroph was lazy, but he wasn`t a fool either.

Using the lift was just the same as declaring that there was an outsider here.

Also, right before entering, Stroph loaded his Last Light with electromagnetic bullets. He didn't want to shoot anyone more than once, or he might actually get in trouble. But, there was one thing he had to consider now, electromagnetic bullets could hit the goods, so he should be extremely careful. Stroph didn't like to do anything, but if he got down to work, he had to do it correctly.

As he was descending the stairs, "Snow White Darkness" suddenly spoke up. : Its voice was as creepy and intimidating as always, Stroph had gotten used to it a long time ago, but this warning made him wary. There is at least one third rank fighter down there, and perhaps even a fourth, such an opponent could cause him quite a bit of trouble.

Stroph slowly approached the door behind it was the same converted underground floor, the door was old, made of some cheap plastic, it was unclear whether this group was so poor or whether such a cheap door had been installed on purpose.

But he didn't open it, Stroph just stood in front of it, closed his eyes and began to focus on his aura and the aura of the people in the room in front of him. He tried to feel the aura of the other beings around him, just as Snow White Darkness had taught him.

After about ten seconds, Stroph called on his black and white revolver, opened his eyes and shot straight through the door.
