Chapter 140: Accidental Success_1

You can't avoid the fifteenth after escaping the first day of the lunar month.

Around nine o'clock that night, Carrie Thomas returned home.

Instead of going straight to her bedroom upstairs, she knocked on Harrison Clark's door downstairs.

"Next time, come back earlier. It's not safe for you to be out alone so late at night."

Without asking too many questions, Harrison let her in and poured her a glass of warm water.

Carrie took off her mask, put it in a ziplock bag she carried with her, and hung her coat on the clothes rack by the door.

"It's fine, I just bought a car. I drove back."

Harrison nodded, "That's good. But still, be careful when driving at night."

"Mhm."

She picked up the glass and looked around for a moment.

Harrison's small suite was still kept clean and tidy, just like when he used to be the apartment manager.

He still didn't hire a maid, only found an hourly worker.
