WHAT DOES THE 'SEVENTEEN' MEAN?

Dhruv was in no mood to spill the beans. He had made his intentions clear. He wanted Shiv to find out what SEVENTEEN means, and Shiv knew that he could never force the answer out of Dhruv. Because just mere moments ago, he had beaten him up badly, and still, the bastard stood cocky. And as Dhruv made his intentions clear. The conversation did not go any further than that. Shiv did not utter a word and left the room. There was pin-drop silence in the room for those few minutes. Dhruv was smirking with his bloody face knowing that Shiv will eventually find what SEVENTEEN meant, and he will no longer have to bear the painful truth he has been holding on to for soo long. He was trying to seek peace in some odd sense; maybe he believed in what most psychiatrists advise, Opening up!

Shiv was standing outside the interrogation room. And he sat down on the floor with his head down, decoding the clue Dhruv gave. He had some intuitions about what it could be, but nothing was connecting the dots. With Pooja's death, things started making sense to Shiv. Before, he disregarded such possibility completely. He did not add Pooja to Dhruv's case, for he thought that she was nothing more than an eyewitness, an eyewitness Dhruv wasn't aware of at the time. But what if he was aware of it? In his moment of anger he went forward to bash Dhruv, he did not think of this before. But as he calmed himself, he knew what 'THE SEVENTEEN' was! It took him about 9 minutes, but he deciphered the clue. Maybe not just the clue but also the case.

When there was a surety of what all of it meant, Shiv stood up. The door slams open, and Shiv comes rushing towards his chair. He grabs it and takes his seat, he raised his head and said,

Rathod: I know what THE SEVENTEEN'means!

Dhruv (Excited): FINALLY, TELL ME!

Rathod: THE SEVENTEEN means, THE 7TH TEEN !!!

Dhruv: You think so?

Rathod: You said that I had seen five deaths already, and that made me think that maybe it's the number of people, or I should say 'teenagers' involved in this mess. Starting with Yash, then Raj, Shreyash, Vikram, Pooja, and of course, you make a total of six.

Dhruv: Ok, go on!

Rathod: Then I thought of why you gave me this clue? You gave me this clue because I wasn't able to tell you, how exactly were you able to get the information about Shreyash's videos? That information, you didn't get it! SOMEONE GAVE IT TO YOU! Someone who knew about the videos and that also made me think, how were you able to be so clean with your plans and execution. It was because this 7th teen or this 7th person was helping you!.... You have a partner, an accomplice!

Dhruv: Can't say what you think is wrong!

Rathod: And from the number of people involved in your mess, I have figured out it wasn't Pooja who killed Vikram. It was YOU! Because if she was just an eye-witness you weren't aware of, then your helper would be the 6th TEEN and not the 7th TEEN, but you already added Pooja. If you included Pooja in the number, then you were aware that she saw you at a crime scene, so you framed her for Vikram's murder!... SO DHRUV, I AM RIGHT? DID WE FINISH THE GAME??!

Dhruv (With a grin on his face): Sure we did!... The seventeen does mean THE 7TH TEEN. I had a helper all along. But let me make myself clear here. All this 'HELPER' did was provide me the information I did not have on these people. The helper did not plan anything! And all the plans were made by me and also executed only by me. This helper did not take part in any of the actions that happened with these people. And yeah, I framed Pooja but again, the helper had no part in it!

Rathod: But this 'helper' knew, what you were going to do with these kids? And after knowing that, decided to help? Why?

Dhruv: Not sure! Maybe some personal grudges?... But as I said, this person is not responsible for anything. And I guess knowing about this person should be the last on your list. Ask me what you want to know right now! Then we can cover everything one by one!

Rathod: Yeah, we will cover everything, but there's one thing I want to know right now. What happened between you and Pooja in this room a few hours ago?

Dhruv: I expected it! When she entered the room, she was scared to see me. I mean, she knew I killed three people, so it was natural of her to be scared. I would have been surprised if she wasn't! I had to calm her down and then talk to her.

Rathod: What did you guys talk about?

Dhruv: Now that, is the interesting part!
