It was rather fun to watch Ed go through the dusty shelves to get the old scrolls he needed. He said he had to find out more about that invisible force he always talked about.

He was very systematic, with his notebook open next to the opened scrolls, and without even a finger brushing against the delicate matter, he scanned the texts for any clue of the invisible force being discovered before him.

For many, the idea of not being the ultimate inventor of something great would have been an awful thought. Ed didn't seek glory. He sought knowledge. In that value, there was no selfishness, only the pure rationality of one who wanted to discover the world as it was, the joyless joy, the loveless love. This man lived in a different world.
