Chase

We worked that whole day and night, I slept at some point but Jade kept working all the way until the sun came up. When I got up I saw Jade lying down on his couch and the drone was on his table covered by a cloth. I walked up to it ready to take the cloth off since I didn't get to see it when it was completed. I put my hand on the piece of cloth and threw it into the air. I immediately realized that I would've never been capable of finishing it on my own in one day. It was so well-made, he even took his time to color it in black and white.

I bent down to pick the cloth up and realized there was a message and on it:

You looked like you were in a hurry, so I made it as quick as possible for you. Hopefully now you can get to where you need to go. With all the surveillance they have around here they're probably going to catch you if you don't go as fast as possible. P.S. don't wake me up

- Jade

I wanted to thank him in person but I just cut out a piece from the paper and wrote:

Thank you

- Aria

I met up with Arlo back at the cabin and told him about me and Jade.

"Why didn't you tell me about this before I got all of that" he said while pointing at a pile of metal, a few tires and other things I could've used.

"I just didn't think Jade would help me make the whole thing, I only expected him to give me the blueprint." I explained, "But now we have the whole thing, and we can get going, come follow me," I said quickly trying to make him forget about what happened. I grabbed his hand, and we ran to Jade's place.

"You guys did this overnight" he whispered, so he wouldn't wake Jade up.

"Well I was only learning, but I helped with a few things here and there, now push it outside, so we can get going." Once we had it outside I got in and turned it on with my fingerprint.

"Aria you don't know how to drive and am not about to die in here," Arlo said

"You really think we didn't think that far?" I asked.

"I wouldn't have gotten in if I thought so." he answered

"Good because Jade and I couldn't get auto control, but we did get a voice that would help me drive." "Activate assist mode" I ordered

"Assist mode activated choose location" A woman's voice answered. "Skeyria." I answered.

"Launching in 3... 2...1." The drone started hovering slowly and after a few minutes the drone announced, "Currently 10 meters in the air" I put my hand on the steering stick and clicked the front button, and we started moving forward very quickly. "Move the steering stick once" I accidentally pushed the stick too hard three times, and we propelled it forward until I couldn't see in front of me. "Speed on three out of five would you like me to lower it"

"YES LOWER IT LOWER THE SPEED" we both screamed, and the drone immediately halted to a stop then moved slower.

"Aria I will never trust you with driving again" Arlo said looking sick.

"Well I don't think you can do better, you wanna try?" I asked.

"At least I won't propel us to our death" he answered, we switched spots, and he started controlling. He pushed the stick slightly obviously knowing what would happen if he pushed a little too hard. He then continued to go faster but steadily.

"Well if you started driving first you would've done the same mistake." I defended.

"Great job!" the drone said, "Keep moving at this pace."

"Even the drone agrees that am doing a better job"

"Whatever," I looked out at the window and saw a red light heading straight towards us. "What's that?" I asked it to come closer and I realized it was the Arial Police. "Crap, Arlo hurry up the Arial Police is right behind us," I warned. He looked through the window with an alert reaction. He gave a slight nervous smile, clicked the steady button and raised the speed up to a two. And we sped off dodging multiple other drones.

"Careful Aria hold on to your seat am about to raise the speed to a five," he warned

"No, no, no you can't do that you won't be capable of seeing anything" "We would crash" He ignored me and continued.

"Raise altitude to 50 meters" He commanded we immediately propelled up higher. I then realized what he was trying to do. He would put us all the way up with no drones around so he wouldn't crash into anyone. Once we were where he wanted us to be, he pushed the steering stick all the way up. And I went completely blind. Once I thought I was ready to throw up we came to a stop. "I think we lost them" Arlo announced "How long until we reach our destination?"

"Approximately 36 hours" the drone answered, Arlo smiled again and kept going.
