WEDDING DAY
I chose a beautiful yellow dress that reached the floor, with a beautiful trail. The dress was simple, I had a beautiful intricate designed veil with diamantes littered over it. The hijab was black, allowing all of the attention to be drawn to the veil. I also had a beautiful bouquet, just like beauty, it was red roses. Khalid had planned most of the wedding, opting for a small ceremony with Alisha's family, Zayn and a few others. Strangely enough, those two despised each other. It seemed they had clashing personalities.
The beautiful entrance was beautifully decorated with a rustic theme. Each table had a single rose in a glass vase, the whole wedding was an absolute dream. To my surprise, the person who had walked me down the aisle was Mr Bukhatir. He had quickly become a father figure to me when I had told him the truth. Everything I had ever dreamed of was right in front of me. The one who I loved was staring straight at me with tears threatening to fall. The familiar song had played and I was walking towards my life as a newly married woman. The nikkah was done and we were wedded. My finger had a beautiful band that was picked out by the grinch himself. It was an emerald green stone, making me blush, feeling embarrassed at my own wedding. Underneath the dress was my usual sliders, much to Alisha's dismay. He simply chuckled and hugged me tightly. Zayn was the first to speak loudly and say, "I am hungry, hurry up man!" I had secretly ordered McDonald's and everyone else had a random selection of Alisha's mothers cooking. I secretly went to the door and collected my order. We went to a private room and ate our McDonalds happily.
All of a sudden, a shrill scream was heard, it sounded like a woman. However, it was Zayn screaming saying "Traitors!" We laughed in unison offering the empty bag. I felt content, happy finally. Mama had always said, inhale, exhale. I needed to remember this for what was going to come.

Khalil POV
Our love for each other grew more every day. The only problem was that I saw an unopened mail from the doctor. I decided to leave it for her to open herself.
Khadija POV
I saw a white envelope on the countertop. I decided to open the envelope and saw the results of the scan I had. It said I was unable to conceive. My heart ached. Sobbing uncontrollably I screamed in agony. Pure frustration, pure grief was all that I felt. I could never hold my daughter's hand. I could never kiss her head. Tell her I loved her. I would never be enough for him. The doubts flooded through my brain like a drought had just occurred and the rain was my self inflicted pain. Khalil stormed through the kitchen and held me tight. He saw the envelope in my hands and read it silently. "It's okay, it's fine". This was all he repeated. It was as if he was trying to convince himself and not me
