Chapter 9

"What was that?" Kai asked

Sydney blushed, her whole body was hot, she didn't realize that all her inhibitions were gone as she blurted out what was on her mind

"I...I want to feel you inside me."

Kai almost felt like jumping on her after hearing her seductive words, but he took a deep breath to calm himself down, it was strange since if he was his usual impulsive self, he probably would have already taken her up on her offer.

But he wasn't.

Yin and Yang were natural yet abstract forces of nature that had the ability to influence one's spirit, especially when one's inner body was not balanced.

Kai lost a lot of Yang from the previous activities with Sydney, but ever since he condensed two Yang Qi Cyclones, successfully comprehending Elementary stage 2 Yang Intent, he didn't have to worry about never getting the Yang Qi he lost back, once one condenses cyclones of Qi, the cyclones would naturally gather energies from the surroundings without making any effort to, but it would still take a certain amount of time to get back to his peak state if he didn't absorb any precious treasures.

On top of having less Yang energies, Kai absorbed a lot of Yin energies from Sydney, so his body held an overabundance of Yin, changing his entire disposition.

Sydney was similar, her body was also imbalanced, she had an overabundance of Yang that she still had left to assimilate within her which also changed her personality, making her more courageous, actually being brave enough to tell him such an embarrassing thing.

For Kai, in his balanced state, he was fairly serene and cold, but he could also be reckless and daring a few seconds later.

When he had an overabundance of Yang he would act more on his daring and hot-headed side, and when he had an overabundance of Yin, like what he was experiencing now, he would be more meticulous and calm.

With that in mind, Kai looked toward Sydney and sighed

"Sydney, my Yang Qi is affecting you greatly, how about you take the time to fully assimilate it into your body, so we won't do anything you would hate me for later, losing your Primordial Yin is an extremely big deal."

"No." Sydney said

"No?"

"The Yang Qi isn't really affecting me like how you think, I already know losing my Primordial Yin is a big deal, but I don't care."

"I just want to be with you."

Sydney had a cute little pout on her lips, slightly mad that Kai thought she wasn't coherent enough to formulate her own thoughts.

Kai stared at her beautiful warm blue eyes with a serious expression.

"There have been many talks about my marriage, you know the position I'm in with a large amount of strength from my immediate family gone and other Dynasties ogling our Spiritual Crystal mines, would it not be fair to you if I had to marry another woman first?"

Sydney slowly got up, her beautiful warm blue eyes a little moist as her supple body hugged Kai

"I...I don't know, all I know is that I love you, and I want to be with you."

"..."

Kai didn't really know what to say, the seed of feelings he had for Sydney only just sprouted today, he couldn't really truly say he loved her back, but his heart tugged when he heard her say she loved him.

Kai thought for a while, he didn't want to ruin the mood so he responded with a charming smile

"I love you too."

Sydney let out a happy squeal and radiant laugh as she hugged him tightly, Kai felt her hot body on him and wrapped his arms around her tight waist as they started to kiss.

Kai separated once he felt Sydney was holding something back.

"What is it?" Kai asked, staring at her beautiful features and elegant blush made something stir deep inside him.

"I...I have something to tell you." Sydney said

"I have been secretly gathering a lot of strength, I would collect many Yin Qi treasures and absorb them which is why my cultivation was so slow, I have been looking for a way to quickly help you ascend in strength to help find your father and brother."

Kai was shocked

"You did all this for me?"

Sydney shyly nodded, even herself didn't really know why she fell in love with him so much, but she was the Young Miss of the Water Diety Clan, so everyone treated her like she was a Goddess, Kai was the only one who treated her like she was something other than some pretty object.

When they first met she fell in love with his resolute and powerful air that further accentuated his handsome features, the more time she spent with him, the further attached she got.

She knew Kai blamed himself for not being strong enough to travel with his father, he thought that if he was strong enough at that time and went with them, they wouldn't be lost, but he still never gave up hope of finding his family and continued to try and increase his strength which made her admire him even more.

She really believed he would never answer the affections she had for him until he searched for his family.

"I...I was thinking about saving myself when I was stronger and then helping you, but I realized you were almost a Martial King, if I could help you become a Martial King before we leave for the Holy Continent, how amazing would that be?"

Sydney said as she looked at him with glimmering eyes.

"You don't need to do that for me, I will eventually become a Martial King, it's only a matter of time. Even if it's not before we journey toward the Holy Continent, it would still happen later."

Kai shook his head.

"But you would be one of the youngest Martial King's in existence, imagine how much importance the Holy Lands would place on you with that title, you would also never be forced into a marriage that you never wanted to be apart of with their backing."

Kai pondered for a moment and thought what she said really made sense.

Sydney knew he was almost accepting it so she said with a bashful smile.

"S-so will you take me now?"

Kai still didn't really know

He didn't even know what he did to earn such a devoted and loving beauty as her.

"I'm not sure." He said, still hesitant.

Sydney looked downcast, she looked at him with her pitiful beautiful appearance and poured even more of her emotions out.

"Every time I watched your training I felt like I would lose part of myself. The way you damage your body to the brink of death just for a little increase in strength, the way you accept crippling injuries to try and perfect your techniques and senses made me extremely anxious.

I-I just wanted to help you increase your strength in a way that wouldn't hurt you..."

Kai caressed her soft and beautiful cheek and wiped the tears off her face and smiled at her cuteness.

"That's just how cultivation is, every moment is filled with danger and each step is more difficult than the last, I don't want to hurt you in exchange for power," Kai said.

Sydney showed faux rage on her face as she looked at him

"It wouldn't hurt me! Helping you would make me happy, not the opposite."

Kai shook his head and finally gave in. He would make up for her loss of Primordial Yin.

"Are you sure this isn't the Yang Qi talking and this is what you really want?"

Sydney's extremely beautiful face and body heated up, but she nodded resolutely.

"I'm sure."
