Chapter 21

The large doors to Kai's bedroom opened, revealing an angelic little girl, her arms were crossed and her starry golden eyes looked like they could spit flames as she looked up at her brother who opened the door.

"Celeste"

Kai looked down towards his little sister and called out, trying to distract her from an outburst, but that didn't seem to help at all.

Celeste's snow-white face turned red, her eyes moist, she pointed at Kai and said sorrowfully

"You...you promised to take me to the Great Jade Pavilion...I was waiting patiently for you to come and get me, but you never came and left me all alone...by myself..." Celeste wept as she looked up with wide teary eyes at her big brother.

It seemed like instead of going the anger route, she took the pitiful one

Damn...

Kai took a large step toward Celeste and then bent his knees so he could be face to face with her again, feeling terrible for forgetting.

"I'm sorry Celeste, how about I make it up to you and take you there right now?"

Celeste, like she became a completely different person turned instantly happy at his words, with a wide smile on her angelic face she said

"Okay! But you better promise not to -"

Her words came to a halt when she saw a light blue-haired beauty walk out of Kai's bedroom.

"You!" Celeste yelled out to Sydney and pointed at her.

"Me?" Sydney pointed to herself, confused. Sydney was always surprised when she saw Kai's little sister Celeste; who was extremely beautiful with her wavy golden hair and gave her an ethereal feeling.

They barely interacted before, but Kai's little sister was looking and pointing at herself like she stole something from her.

"Yes, you!" Celeste said angrily

"Was it you who distracted my big brother from visiting me?"

Sydney's eyes widened, she didn't know she did such a thing, she looked toward Kai and the wry look on his face told her everything she needed to know.

Sydney was smart, she didn't deny it and then walked up to Celeste and held her hand out.

"Sorry Lady Celeste, it truly wasn't my intention to keep your brother away from you."

"Hmph"

Celeste, making every effort to show Kai she didn't accept Sydney's apology, crossed her dainty arms and looked to the side.

An awkward silence encompassed the scene for a few minutes as Celeste refused to shake Sydney's hand until sounds of footsteps resounded out in the hallways.

"Master?" Celeste looked toward the noise and called out happily toward the footsteps, where a gorgeous and mature beauty sauntered into view.

The mature woman whom appeared was wearing cleric robes that covered her from her shoulders down to her ankles. The white robe was trying its best to hide the woman's beautiful figure, but it didn't seem to do the proper job. A slim waist flared out into curved hips, which connected to a pair of long, slender legs. She also had the largest pair of bosoms Kai's ever seen. He couldn't help but notice, they were causually projecting against her robes, making him stare for longer than usual. She had long golden hair that fell around her shoulder in waves, similar to Celeste, but her eyes were a stunning blue color as if gazing into the azure colored sky. Her skin looked never aging and her aura was peerless.

'This is Celeste's Master' Kai thought.

He had seen her multiple times before but never talked to her longer than a simple greeting, her beauty stunned him for a split second when they first met, but he never cared since his mind was focused on other intricacies, but seeing her now it was like he was naturally drawn to her, his mind placing substantial emphasis to notice her existence.

Ever since Kai took Sydney's Primordial Yin he had a much higher affinity with Yin and Yang energies, he could practically smell the abundant Yin Qi flowing inside Celeste's Master and had to calm himself down from showing anything on the outside.

"Cleric Anastasia" Kai greeted her with a slight bow, but she didn't greet him back.

Clerics, also known as Sisters of Light, were a fairly large group that resided in one of the five Holy Lands under the Sacred Temple of Light.

The Sacred Temple of Light only accepted women with an extremely high affinity with the element of Light and they were to all stay as pure maidens in order to become followers of their Goddess.

Usually Elders in the Holy Land were not allowed to freely leave nor recruit a student who was not old enough to enter, but an extreme exception was made once they found out Celeste comprehended the divine intent of Light from an early age.

Ever since then, Cleric Anastasia appeared and recruited Celeste to the Sacred Temple of Light, and has been guiding her on her cultivation all this time.

Cleric Anastasia's willowy eyebrows knit themselves together and showed a hint of impatience,

"Is there a problem Celeste, what is with all the screaming?"

She asked as she looked down towards her student Celeste, ignoring Kai.

Celeste didn't say anything, her arms still crossed, she seemed to be angry.

Cleric Anastasia sighed and glanced toward Kai and declared flatly in a light and delicate voice.

"Your sister refused to train until she saw you, so I could only concede and bring her here."

She looked like she was blaming Kai as she said this, her mature and beautiful face was filled with disdain.

After all, it was acceptable that she was blaming Kai for delaying Celeste's training, the Temple of Light's training was extremely significant, they were one of the most essential forces in the Holy Lands that turned its followers into powerful Clerics that dispelled the black fog, every second the black fog still exists, means more death and destruction, but Kai didn't know how Celeste would do as a Cleric, she seemed to like to go on the offensive route instead of becoming a healer.

"My apologies, Cleric Anastasia, you don't mind if I and Celeste spend a few hours together do you? I promise to bring her back as soon as possible."

Cleric Anastasia's beautiful eyebrows slightly twitched

"Fine, but don't be out for too long" after saying these words she disappeared in plain sight.

Kai knitted his eyebrows in confusion, she may have disappeared but he could still sense her presence due to the overabundance of Yin Qi in her body and his affinity with distinguishing it, but he still couldn't see her figure at all.

Kai disregarded why Celeste's Master was still here and looked toward Celeste, who still looked like she was purposefully ignoring Sydney, and reprimanded her.

"Celeste, don't be like that towards Sydney, it really wasn't her fault, you aren't being very nice."

Celeste crossed her arms tighter and murmured back.

"You not keeping your promises is not very nice."

Kai was left speechless

Sydney held back a giggle

Kai shook his head and glared at Sydney who was next to him, he knew she really wanted to get back home as quickly as possible.

"Guards!" Kai suddenly called out.

Six powerful guards with red and gold multi-colored armor suddenly appeared with robust auras.

"Escort Miss Sydney to the Water Diety Clan safely"

"Yes, sir!" The guards called out in deep synchronized voices.

Kai nodded in satisfaction

"If a hair of hers gets hurt you and your families will all get eradicated."

"Yes sir," The guards said with even more conviction this time.

Sydney blushed in embarrassment

"You didn't have to do that, the Water Diety Palace isn't that far away from yours"

"Better safe than sorry," Kai said with a smile as he stared into Sydney's warm blue eyes with a tender expression.

"My Lady" Kai eloquently said as a farewell, before giving Sydney a peck on the lips in front of everyone.

Sydney was shocked, and her blush became even deeper, she nodded her beautiful face and was guided toward the exit with the guards surrounding her.

Cleric Anastasia looked at Kai curiously through her vanishing light technique that allowed her to manipulate light to the point of become undetectable, she just wanted to monitor what the Elder Brother of Celeste would do when she was gone ever since she noticed his lingering stares, she didn't expect to see such a scene considering the information she heard about his marriage.

Kai chuckled internally, curiosity killed the cat, however, he then glanced toward Celeste who stared at Sydney with a deep frown and sighed, he decided to leave before any more problems could arise.

"Come on Celeste, let's go." Kai reached his hand down to grasp Celeste's soft and little hand into his.

"
