I go straight to Dr. Almiro’s office after I arrived the Hospital. I knocked on her door and enter her office without hesitation.

The patient and Shane looked at me at the same time. She rolled her ayes and told me take a sit first. I did what she said.

She’s a psychiatrist. I know her because she’s my brother’s past girlfriend.

I waited for almost ten minutes before the patient got up on his seat and walks out of her office. I immediately sat on the chair in front of her desk.

“What brings you here Karl?” She said while looking at patients’ files.

“I want to consult something, but I want you to keep this as a secret from my family.” I asked her.

She looked at me confused trying to find answers through my eyes but she couldn’t help her self but to ask me directly.

“Why do you want to keep it a secret?” She asked with a frown on her face. Then suddenly her chinky eyes becomes larger

“OH MY GOSH! Karl! Are you pregnant?” She said in shock.

I rolled my eyes. Is this why Kuya Keith and her broke up? She thinks ahead of time

“Of course not! I don’t even have a lover” I said to calm her down. She then relaxed and continued looking at me intently trying to find an answer.

I sigh and told her my concern

“I actually came here to ask about something that concerns my memories. Because lately when I tried to recall everything in the past it seems like there is something missing” I said trying to explain my situation.

She now gets why I’m here and look something from her from the file organizer beside her table. After getting a certain folder she came back to her table and read the file.

“Why do you think that you have lost some memories?” She asked while still looking in the file in front of her.

“I tried recalling some parts of my childhood from Tagaytay but it’s like my memories from there skips from the time I got here in manila for the first time” I said.

“Why do you want to recall some memories? Is there something that triggers you to recall something from that time?” She asked curiously.

“Uhmm… How do I tell this? When I was in Hawaaii I met someone. He told me that he knows me. But I don’t really remember him.” I said expecting it to be enough information for her.

“Is that all? You wouldn’t be thinking this way if someone just approach you. You will just probably think that he is messing with you.” She said then looked at me with knowing eyes.

“Don’t worry these informations will be safe here with me.” She said again thinking that I’m hesitating to tell her. It’s just I don’t know how to explain the situation.

“After meeting him in Hawaaii I met him again and he told me to send his regards to my mom. He even knows what mom’s name.” I said feeling confused again.

“He knows Aunt Belle?” She asked

“Yup. And mom knows him too. In fact, I’m the only one in the family who does not remember him so it’s really kinda suspicious. She told me that I met him already when I was about 14 or 15. But I couldn’t remember. Then my head started hurting whenever I tried to remember him.” I said.

“Okay…” She said then looked again from the file.

“Based on what you told me, those are some symptoms of a person with a dissociative amnesia.” She said then looked at me worried

I was shocked I don’t even know that I have something like that. I don’t even know how many memories I have lost.

“But don’t worry we will still run some tests to be sure of your condition.” She said and told her secretary to prepare some tests that I will take.

“By the way do you have some medicine that you take whenever you are having headaches?” She aske when she turned to me

I nodded in answer.

“Yes. Mom actually gave this to me.” I said and took the medicine from my bag.

I gave the medicine to her and she examined it.

“She gave this to you?” She asked then looked at me seriously

I nodded.

“Maybe Aunt Belle knows.” She said with a sad eyes.

I also thought about it and expected it but it still shook me and I’m disappointed.

“Dr. Almiro. I already told the laboratory about the tests.” Her secretary informed us then left.

“You should go take the tests. After that you can leave. I think you need some important things to do this day” She said then smiled at me.

“Yup thank you.” I said then stood up I fixed my clothes and head towards the door. But before I could even open it Shane speaks again.

“Don’t worry too much, Karl. Maybe Aunt Belle have her reasons. I’ll let you know about the results when I get it. I’ll just text or call you.” She said while smiling. At least that somehow comforts me. I don’t really know what happened between her and Kuya. This woman is amazing.

I walk to the laboratory and finished all the tests that is set for me. After that I got to the basement to get my car. While driving I got a call from Percy.

“Hello?” I said

“Ms. Karl where are you?” he asked worriedly.

“I’m on my way now. I’m sorry I have some important things to deal with. Is the client there already?” I said while still looking at the road. Good thing is not that traffic today.

“Actually, the client rescheduled her appointment. She said that there’s some emergency, so she decided to meet you next week here” He explained

“Okay, I’ll see you when I get there.” I said and ended the call

After a few minutes I arrived at my shop. It’s actually a Clothing shop. This is my first shop but I have 20 branches around Manila.

I know. This line of work is way too far from what my family has started but I want to use my profession as my job, so I started this line. I already have some investments from different company, that is why I don’t worry much about losing money.

As soon as I enter the shop Percy comes running to me with his usual maid look. I don’t know why he likes it so much. He’s 20 years old and is shorter than me. He’s like a girl. Well, I only let him wear those because it fits him.

“Ms. Karl” He calls me but my eyes drifted to the person sitting on the couch in the corner of the boutique.

Percy noticed it.

“He said that he wants to talk to you. I was about to told you that when we were talking in the phone but he told me not to tell you that he’s here.” He explained

“It’s okay.” I said and walks towards Halz.

“What are you doing here?” I asked calmly cause I don’t want to stress myself anymore.

“Nothing. I’m just worried” He said but he can’t look at me.

I sat beside him and rest a bit. No one is talking. I can feel his gaze from the side, but I ignored it. He’s totally a stranger for me. But why do I feel so safe with him. I am even sitting comfortably beside him which I usually don’t feel when I sit with someone I don’t know.

I am still thinking of the things that Shane said. I still can’t believe it though I already have a hunch. I don’t want to go home first. I need to calm myself or I’ll surely blame mom for all the thigs I just discovered.

A thought came in to mind.

“Are you free today?” I asked him

He was startled a bit but he nodded.

“How about tomorrow? Don’t you have work? Are you even working?” I asked Curiously.

“I have a job but it does not require me to be present always. And I’m free whenever you want me.” He said while slightly smiling.

I was curious about his work but nevermind at least his free.

“Want to go to Tagaytay with me?"
