Aayan

Drinking a glass of type 0 blood, Aayan sighed and pulled on his hijab. Another long day ahead.

Walking out into the day, Aayan was unimpressed once again as he spotted the preacher on the corner. The man was constantly there, preaching about his all mighty lord and saviour. If he was so all-mighty, why hadn't he saved him when the vampires came for him? Why did God let so many innocent children die each day from disease?

These days Aayan had a hard time even believing in Allah.

Aayan moved to walk past when the man shoved his little wooden cross in Aayans face. "The Lord hears your prayers! He will save you."

Aayan snatched the thing and snapped it, walking away without another word. How did so many people believe in so many different gods? He knew he wasn't one to talk, but at least Muslims didn't come knocking at your door at 5 o'clock on a Saturday morning.
