CHAPTER - 9 : 'VERESERPIA'

The night as piercing and scary it looked the luminating stars made it much calmer and a lot less scary but as calming, beautiful and silent it looked only ONE person could hear the muffled screams or more like ENJOYING the muffled screams.

It has been a long time since someone revived the lust of killing in 'HER' , although she always went on a rampage but it all stopped when she was buried deep in the earth, the place where even the toughest of metals would melt; the people thought that it would melt her too but who would have known that heat only made her stronger and escape from there.

She felt immense content that her enemy died by her hands, she kept the heart as a souvenir the same heart she squeezed out from her nemesis and once it was done... she took the life of the body she resided in, she took the life of the body she resided in, she lured the woman into believing that she'll be the fairest and strongest of all just like the snake who lured Eve into consuming the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge.

"Ah... just when I thought your body trusted me it had to resent me", she said and then licking the blood and consuming the lady and her nemesis' heart.

"Ugh!! Both of your hearts are disgusting but... I think it'll suffice for a day, I guess." The blood trickling down her fingers was an enjoyable sight for her, she enjoyed the taste sweet mettalic taste even though it wasn't that tasty.

*CRACK* The sound of bones being ripped from the dead humans could be heard and as gore it looked, the look of satisfaction on her face couldn't be described. While still consuming her buffet; she felt something different and then it happened; her black hair now a blood red with purple streaks, skin that was tan now had turned completely pale with black spots appearing from the time she spent under the immense heat and most importantly HER EYES : A rich maroon colour with black specs and her iris white as snow, she gasped for air and then she hurled out the 'disgusting' hearts she had consumed.

"UGH!! Bleh is it just me or this is the first time I'm experiencing something like this." she moaned out.

As if on cue her serpent Jacob spoke "It won't be long till I shrivel and leave your soul for the scavengers to eat"

"What do you mean by that?" she asked Jacob, "*sigh* You very clearly know what I'm trying to say, that tingly feeling coursing right in our blood whispering it to you 'she' is going to come for you and her hunt for you is going to start very sssssoon."Jacob hissed, and a deep giggle left the crawlers mouth.

"W-what are we suppose to do n-now?!" After a very long time the essence of fear dropped in her, before when she destroyed the creature and consumed it's divine powers something felt different but now those powers were starting to wither away as the new heir was rising with powers that no one could imagine.

"Hmm I can smell her," Jacob cooed "and my oh my she's just like her mother except for the fact that her father resents her *chuckles*."

"Well if she's strong then we need to find you a new body to reside in for the time being. A body that looks weak and innocent but if given the chance it can bring the whole world to it's feet, someone who is so pure but dark and evil thought cloud the judgement," Jacob then took a whiff of the air surrounding the witch "someone who is unexpectedly expecting a BABY."

"And who may that be Jacob??" The witch asked.

"My my 'Vereserpia', when did you become so keen about such stuff? The last time I checked you became so impatient that before I could say anything you devoured all the men, women and children of a village and burnt it till ashes were left." Jacob spoke in an amused tone.

"Heh what should I do if you and I both were craving for some juicy meat? Besides the people there looked much delicious than these arseholes!!" The witch let out.

"Hmm, well I do agree that I did crave it but what can we poor souls do when we ARE HUNGRY?? Aren't I right Vereserpia." He chuckled clearly knowing the effect it can have on her when he called her by her name.

"STOP CALLING ME THAT!!!" Bright fumes of gray and green spewed out due to her rage issues.

"*Chuckles* don't get SO worked up sweetheart, we have loads of work to do and finding "the ONE" will be a little more than a piece of cake."

January {Hangug River bridge, Seoul}

"I don't want to live anymore." sniffles of sadness heard, she wanted someone to come and end this but the only thing there was the rustling and shivering of the leaves on the huge trees.

CRACK

The woman immediately became alert of her surroundings not knowing whether to run or remain where she is, luckily enough she chose the latter.... white irises penetrating her soul.

"If you are here to kill me please do so, I have no craving to live." Tears dropped uncontrollably from the pain she felt, who would have thought that her life would take a wrong turn; who would have thought that the person she loved gave her the same feeling back only in her imagination!! The truth was her lover or more like the one only she loved was happy with his wife.

"Oh but WE ARE CRAVING FOR YOU." The witch spoke in her soothing tone, making the women scared but at the same time relaxed.

While saying those words Belinda came out making the woman knelt in front of her look up at her with peculiar eyes.

'She'sss THE ONE.' The crafty creature hissed.

'Hmmm, I can smell it too' The mystical witch said to her slithering friend while taking slow strides towards the charming woman.

"My oh My, I've never seen someone as ravishing as you, if I were a man I would have marked your p-"

"W-Who are you?" the woman screamed; another thing the mystical witch hated.

"Shh.... Mind your volume sugar and as for my name it's Vereserpia" she uses her 'best' gentle voice with the woman. "What's yours sweety," she asked.

"M-Martha." the woman said, Vereserpia could feel the woman scared to the very bone.

"Well Martha, I'm not here to kill you (oh but how much she wanted to kill her) I'm here to make an OFFER with you." She said unable to believe that she's being gentle (kinda).

"I-I'll take the offer whatever it maybe, I pr-promise you won't be disappointed." The woman choked on her sobs and said while the witch just looked at her with a don't-care-face but changed it in the blink of an eye....

"Are you sure of it? Once the offer is sealed it can't be destroyed until and unless you become useless to me." Vereserpia let out; right now being kind yet honest well better to be bitter than being sugary and getting diabetes.

Martha just nodded, a look of determination flashed over her face once she wiped those tears away.

'I must sssssay, it went better the exxxxxxpected.' Jacob hissed ready for devouring and controlling Martha's mind.

"Fine!! Let's get this over with, shall we??" The mystical creature spoke.

"W-wait, how are we going to sign the deal??" Martha as determined she was the more innocent she had been.

"*Chuckles* Well we are SOON GOING TO FIND OUT." Just when she finished her sentence....

CRACK

*GROAN*

SPLATTER



The woman whose soul was innocent as a star, was now clouded by the dark fantasies and vengeance she had and the same was transmitted to the CHILD in her WOMB who in reality was 'THE ONE.'
