Elderberries

“Valence! Come join us!” A girl with hair as orange as fire exclaimed. She was hanging upside down from a tree branch while another teen was sitting at the roots of the tree, reading a book. “Nana… What are you reading? Hm?” She giggled.

The brunette looked up, closed the book to show the cover, and smiled.

“Nanaaaa!!! You know I can’t read from far!!!” The brunette giggled and resumed her reading, with a smile of course.

“Marion- You are leaving scorch marks on the tree-” As soon as Valence mentioned that, The orange-haired girl jumped off the tree, falling face-first to the floor. "Sorry!"

He showed a smile- if that's what it could be called. It was more like a slight curving on his lips, like he wanted to laugh but was being forced to stay serious. Nana and Marion were way more cheerful than him, maybe that's why he hung out with the duo. They complement him. He also felt safe and with no need to hide himself.
