Chapter 12: "RECONCILING"

TJ's POV:

I jumped as high as I can to put on a full strike but the ball was too high for me to see clearly, the sunlight covered my face causing my eyes to get blurry all in.

My surroundings got all blurry all of a sudden though the ball was about to reach my face when suddenly someone hugged me causing him to get hit by the ball instead of me.

"Iñigo!!", I shouted when I saw him getting him by the ball then he suddenly fainted out of nowhere ,"Iñigo wake up!".

"Stop hitting me, just bring me to the clinic my back hurts a lot", he struggled said while holding his waist, though I thought his back hurts but his holding his waist instead.

Mrs. Baltazar allow me to accompany Iñigo to the clinic, the game ended with a match out then the students was ordered to go back to their perspective class.

"How are you feeling?", I asked while entering the clinic door.

"Well I can't feel anything", he said while lying down and I sat on the chair beside the clinics' bed.

"The nurse said that it's nothing serious, you can discharge after an hour of rest", I said.

"An hour of rest huh, thanks a lot Tiffany", he sarcastically replied.

"Hey who said that you can block yourself in front of me and save me all of sudden huh?", I responded, damn seriously he doesn't even deserve a thank you for saving me.

"My body and my mind I guess, hey no thank you for the risk I've taken just to save you?", he said.

"Thank you...", I forcedly said then he giggled ,"How can you put on a smile after being hit by a ball, seriously?".

"I just can't believe that the table has turned", he said while smirking actually I don't know if he's smirking or giggling or whatever.

"Why, is it because I was the one who's supposed to be lying there instead of you?", so he's kinda blaming me for everything?

Like I didn't even asked for it why did he save me? Why did he blocked the ball for me? I don't want to jump to conclusions but all of those annoying time we had but he has the guts to save me, I can't read him seriously.

"No silly, I saved you just because okay", he said and I stayed silence for a minute I don't want to ask this but.

"So what do you mean by that THE TABLE HAS TURNED huh?", I said while emphasizing the capitalized words and I bowed my head after saying that.

So yeah all this time I'm hesitating but in the end that one really came out of my mouth but there's so many more inside it and here's a hint, I don't know why I wanted to asked Iñigo this things but all this questions are lurking inside my mind and I don't know why.

"Ohh that, I'm not preferring to you if that's what you're thinking, I'm actually preferring to my cousin", he said and my eyes widened, thank goodness I bowed down while he's saying that.

"What your cousin? What do you mean?", I lifted my head while saying it and guess what, ever since I accompanied him to the clinic we didn't had any eye contacts, just now.

"I used to accompany my cousin while he's talking his chemotherapy treatment in a hospital but he's staying in and still comatose that's why I transfered here in the first place", he said as I focused and listened to every word he uttered.

"Why are you the one watching over him? Where's his parents?", I asked in astonishment.

"You seemed very curious about my cousin are you going to background check him?", he said and I smell sarcasms in his words.

"Is it bad to asked?", I sarcastically replied and he giggled.

"Well both his parents died in a car accident when he was young and my Mom which is his fathers' sister wanted to adopted him and my Father agreed to it", my mind and eyes widened after hearing his cousins' story, I can say that he went through a lot.

"Mr. Lopez you can discharge now", the nurse said while entering the door ,"Ohh am I interrupting the two of you?", she said, dang it what was she thinking the whole time.

"No you're not, we're just having some serious conversations about the past, you said I can go home now right?", Iñigos replied and here I am again, silence like a cold potato.

"Yes but first check out your name before leaving so Mrs. Baltazar knows you've already get discharged", she said and left the room.

Iñigo changed into his uniform I just noticed that he was still wearing his PE uniform full of sweat all this time. After changing into his uniform we went to the check out exit and we went home at the same, well actually he just dropped me by the waiting area and waited for our pick-up, I also didn't saw Kristine, neither Paul at the exit gate maybe they both went home already.

After Iñigo and I had a serious conversation inside the clinic, I saw that he tried to adjust to my behavior. I felt that he was sincere after he saved me from that little accident, right? Maybe that's the way to make us closer to each other, it seems that the famous saying "You will eat your own words" is true and guess what, I think I'm chewing all my words about Iñigo after that scene.

All of us are laughing inside the cafeteria I'm with Kristene, Theo, Asher and also Iñigo's with us, so yeah both our squad's are close now.

"So what about it?", Theo said while chewing his food ,"Ackk what was that for", we burst into laughters after Kristine slapped Theo's face while he's eating.

"You kept on talking without knowing that it's bad to eat while you're mouth is full", Kristine scolded him and Theo apologized, sometimes I feel like Theo likes Kristine because he's always following Kristines' orders or anything.

"I know what you're thinking", Iñigo whispered near my ear.

"Damn that startled me", I said then he giggled while others are eating ,"thinking of what?".

"Yeah your mind is right, Theo has a crush on your best friend", he whispered again but this time he said it more louder than before.

"What did you say?", Kristene asked scaryly as she suddenly stood up in her seat.

"He said Theo has a crush on you", Ash inserted as he focused on his food.

"What the hell Ash", Theo shouted and Kristene remained silent while taking her seat.

"Well it's true, no need to deny THEODORE", Iñigo sarcastically inserted while emphasizing Theos' name and all of us laughed and totally ignored the issue.

"You know what let's stop this 'cause we're going to be late", I said and we went back to our classroom and we saw our adviser standing in front.

"So class take your seat 'cause I have a very special announcement", Mr. Williams said.

"Sir what's this for? Where's Mr. Parker?", Iñigo asked.

"Yeah Sir, I thought Mr. Parker was the one who's coming today for our Science class", another student said.

Well he's right it's not Mr. Williams' time to teach it's supposed to be Mr. Parkers' who's supposed to teach us our Science class.

"Well I can't let you continue your studies and left a student behind while all of you are busy studying right", Mr. Williams said and all of us made that 'What does he mean?' look in our face, and silence occupied our surroundings.

"What do you mean Sir?", I asked and everyone looked at me shockly ,"Why? Is it bad to ask? I know all of you wants to ask the same", and I smirked while responding from their looks, someone has to asked it right?

"To answer your question Ms. Cruz, as I said earlier I have a very important announcement also I said that I can't leave a student behind".

"Go straight to the point Sir", Iñigo commanded, hey that was a bit disrespectful but still cool though how dare he commanded our adviser like that huh.

"We have a new transferee again, she arrived just earlier"

"A transferee? Who handled that Sir?", Kristine asked.

"I was the one who handled it, TJ kept on involving to a incident this past few days and I know you have to comfort her that's why I handled it by myself", Mr. William said.

Well I know Kristene was shocked on what Mr. William announced 'cause if not me Kristine is the one handling the transferee informations specially in our class.

"So where is he or she?", Asher asked ,"Ouch what was that for I'm just asking", Asher was twisted in pain after Theo hit him on the head.

"Didn't you heard what Sir said earlier, he said 'she just arrived earlier' SHE Ash it's a SHE", Theo said while emphasizing the word SHE over and over again.

Maybe he's making he's revenge after Asher reveals his secret feelings for Kristene and am I the only one who's thinking that Theo looks like Kristene after doing the hiting part.

"You're not the only one", Iñigo inserted.

"What?"

"I said you're not alone, I also thought that Kristine and Theo looks alike specially on that hitting and scolding part", Iñigos responded, is he a mind reader or something?.

"How did you..."

"I didn't read you're mind silly, I can tell by your facial expressions", I didn't finished what I was going to say when suddenly he read what I was thinking.

"Gosh you've kinda blow my mind using your facial reader"

"Well it's too obvious when it comes to your facial expression", then he giggled.

"Okay class quiet", Mr. William stopped us from talking, so yeah we forgot that he's still standing there.

"Where is she Sir?", a student asked.

"Hold your horses, so she's going to introduce herself in front but first let's welcome her", Mr. William said.

Then a girl entered the door, I can tell that she's kinda shy based on her posture well she's tall slightly pretty so yeah that's all I can say for now.

"Hey TJ why so serious?", Kristene asked.

"Ohh just nothing"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah nothing wrong"

That suddenly make me thought of something different I don't know why but gosh never mind.

"So, go ahead and introduce yourself", Mr. William said while the girl's still standing in front, see I'm right she's totally a shy type of person.

"Good day everyone I'm...."
