The imp grabbed the hilt with her left hand and brought it closer to the sphere floating above her right hand. As she did so, the hilt began to float, and threads of energy stretched out from the sphere, drawing strange patterns around it. By the time the energy sphere completely dissipated, the hilt was surrounded by those patterns and all kinds of weird characters in a rather sinister blood-red color.
“Go on Limy, give it another try” Dabla said to Limy as she returned her the hilt.
As soon as Limy touched it, all the symbols began to glow. Both Aeldrya and Imliar's jaws dropped so hard that a bird could have nested inside their mouths.
"Little girl, what the hell did you just do?" the dwarf asked, her eyes glued to the weapon.
“I've inscribed a closed-loop magic circuit with a mana-draining spell. That allows even someone unable to control their own mana to transfer it to a weapon.”
