CHAPTER NINE

She pushed her self further onto the wall hoping it would open up and swallow her, but the wall only stood still and caressed her back with ice. Tears flowed down her cheeks as she lost all hope and fear pampered her with its kisses. He is not dead. They are not dead. HE IS NOT DEAD. THEY ARE NOT DEAD.

A beautiful ice box with engravings and pointy edges laid in the center large cold room and in it was a beautiful boy, a boy who looked a year or so older than her, half of his body was covered in ice, his light blue hair was long that it reached around his waist, his lips looked blue from the cold, his skin was white and cold, and he's eyes were covered as they were closed but were decorated with thick long blue ice covered eye lashers.

But he was not the only one, as a thousand other plain ice boxes with a thousand other 'sleeping' people circled around his like he was some type of price; A lily in a garden of roses, A diamond in the rough or a prince surrounded by commoners.

He's not dead. Alpha thought to her self but after two days of trying to shake each of them awake, she was petrified, so afraid that she dreamt that their cold fingers caressed her cheeks. Why did they lock her up in here? Why was she even in the North? Why her? A good for nothing girl. A bastard at that.

Useless. She could not even think of another word. Her entire existence was useless, she was pathetic, and weak. She could not walk around without tripping on nothing, she would always have to wait on others, her family loathed her, her brother thinks she's nothing but a bother, and her sister, Orisha, thinks she's just a family wrecker at her described her.

'Their probably throwing a feast, laughing at my misery, am sure Rodrick is even serving them the wine and laughing along with them' she thought.

And finally she let herself give up as a sob shook her body not caring if anyone heard her, she cried for an entire day. The gods do not want her, her family does not want her, and she does not want her. She is nothing but a waste of space and air to breathe.

On shaky legs she walked towards the beautiful boy who refused to wake up. She does not know what possessed her but she leaned closer to his unmoving gorgeous face and kissed his cold lips "I will now lay with you, I hope to see you in the after life beautiful dead boy" she whispered tiredly and climbed in his box hoping to leave the world behind.

He was cold, very cold, but she felt safe. Good bye damned world. She said and closed her eyes, sleeping in the arms of the dead. Hoping she never wakes up to see tomorrow.

You need to wake up greenly.

You are remarkable, I must have you.

When I awake, I will find you, and you will be mine green-

Thud.

Thud.

Boom!

Boom!

Alpha frowned refusing to open her eyes, why is death so nosy?! Can't he do his job quieter? she thought just as the sound of footsteps echoed through the quiet place. After a minute, a warm hand was placed on her bare shoulder making her snap her eyes open to see that she was now wrapped in the arms of the beautiful "Hey girl! We need to go right now!" a squeaky voice said and Alpha looked behind her to see a boy with glowing brown eyes.

"Who are you?" Alpha asked the the boy starred at her before sighing annoyedly "Am your prince in shining armor, here to save the beautiful damsel in distress who would come along with me before the guards arrive and take us to our doom" he said sarcastically and then finished off with a serious tone and grabbed her before she can say anything.

They ran in the snow forest, or more like the boy dragged Alpha with him who struggled against his tight grip but stopped and followed close behind him. The forest was quiet that the boy could hear the guards yelling out orders to one another "Hurry, they are coming for us!" the boy yelled as the wind started blowing violently, the vibration of the ground made them run faster despite Alpha's body starting to shut down.

"There they are!" a guard yelled signaling all the guards to their direction, and as they reached the tree line the ground shook more just as the boy pushed Alpha aside and created a large wall between the guards and them. Alpha watched in astonishment at the boy's glowing brown eyes as he stood in a fighting stance with his hands outstretched in front of him.

The boy groaned as the wall began to shake and so did he's hands "They have earth harnessers with them, when they break through we'll be as good as dead" he said and Alpha looked around her looking for anything to help them escape the claws of North, but stopped as an idea popped in her mind.

She ran towards the boy and asked "how long can you keep the way up?" the boy frowned but answered "about seven minutes" making the Lady smile "Perfect, and how long does it take to make a tunnel?" Alpha asked smiling and hoping that its quick, the boy's frown deepened but answered the girl "About five seconds" and Alpha shared her plan with the boy.

To say he was surprised would be a lie. Her plan was genius, and it was planned in a way that a war commander would think. And here he thought all that lady's knew was about dresses and gossip. Immediately the stone wall came down fire, water in form of ice and rocks clashed were Alpha and the boy once stood but when the smoke cleared, all that was left was a pile of rocks and snow.

Sir Anthony sighed tiredly, dreading the conversation that was about to happen with his sister.

No one noticed the threads of blue hair watching in the shadows with glowing eyes.

The boy and Alpha laughed like hyenas, they sat still in the warm circular tunnel getting some rest before they start their journey to the East. Turns out the boy, was a spy from the South and was hired by my brother to bring me back home. He refused to tell Alpha his name, saying it was confidential.

The carriage came to a halt and Alpha thought it was break time for the horses, but when Orion opened the door her mood just did not know which direction to go "Alpha! Oh! How I've missed you!" He yelled joy clear in his tone like the sky, but he got no response making him step back in confusion.

And then she noticed the rest of her so called family standing a feet away from her 'come on you, you can do it' she chanted to herself and looked each of them in their eyes. She needed to do this, even though she was frightened and scared. She wanted to depend on herself. She needed to be strong.

"I have an announcement," she trailed off and saw everyone give her their undivided attention even Orisha was here. What she said next brought the entire future into chaos.

"I have signed up for the kingdom's army"
