Chapter 26

Low lying clouds kept the atmosphere warm and humid, generating April showers. On this Saturday, Peter slept late, recuperating from his strenuous activities during the last six weeks. He did not need to worry about his business, as long as it is standard work. Herman Schneider is doing a marvelous job running it. He had two people working overtime to catch up on the backlog, but he also realizes that working overtime will cut into the business profits. They are finishing work for London, England, and they have another order for silencers, mounted on handguns. He is subcontracting trigger mechanisms and Holland - Holland actions.

Hilde walked upstairs to their bedroom. Just two weeks ago, she redecorated it. He slept so peacefully, and she hated to wake him, but it was getting late.
