Chapter 1

The guard's bow as the Lord of Discord walks along the hallways of the castle. As he reached the throne room he saw Daxthar sitting like a king. "What brings you here Aros?" Daxthar questioned him as soon as he felt his presence. Aros bowed down to him. "Why to visit the king of Earthnia of course." He joyfully said but Daxthar just ignored him. The Lord of discord rolled his eyes and opened the curtains of the throne room. Chaos and darkness are seen from their view.

"Isn't it lovely? To rule all of Earthnia with darkness and chaos?" Aros said while putting a grin on his face. "We haven't ruled all of Earthnia yet Aros," Daxthar said as a hologram of Earthnia suddenly appeared in the middle of the throne room. "We still have Enchantia on our list." Aros narrowed his eyes as he looks at the hologram. "The home of the mages. It's been year's but you still haven't managed to conquer them?" Aros shouted in disappointment. Daxthar looked at him with a cold look that made Aros calm down. "I'm sorry," Aros said.

Daxthar sits back on his throne as the hologram vanished. "I will send you to Enchantia and conquer it. I've sent you before, and you failed. So if you failed again, I will throw you to the forbidden cave with the other guardians." Daxthar said that made Aros furious. "What?! You can't send me to the dungeon!" "I can... If I want to." Aros calmed himself, stopping himself to let out his anger at him. He bowed. "Yes, my king." He said as he walks out of the throne room. He called one of the guards. "Ready me an army. We're going to Enchantia."

In the southeast part of, Earthnia there is a land called Pili. Where the fiercest warriors of Earthnia lives. There, at the bottom part of Pili is where the town of Enchantia is found. Where the most powerful mages live.

And there lives the gift left by the former queen of Earthnia.

"Alexa!" A girl with long dark hair followed where the voice came from. "Ready for your training?" Said a man with a bo staff in his hands. "Yes sir Wally," Alexa said as she grabbed her shield and sword and walks into the middle of the training room. They both positioned themselves as they waited for the signal.

As soon as they heard a horn they begin the training. Wally strikes first by attacking Alexa with a bo staff. But she counters it with a shield and a kick. She then attempts to attack him by his back but he sweeps her off her feet using his staff that made her lose her grip on her sword. Wally takes this opportunity and attacks Alexa continuously with his staff. Alexa protects herself with only a shield in her hands. "Come on Alexa! You want to be a warrior right? So fight like a warrior!" Wally said as he continued attacking her. Alexa uses all her strength and used her shield to push Wally away from her which left him off balance. She hits his right arm with her shield that made him lose his grip on his staff. Alexa takes this opportunity to kick his legs to the ground and pointed him his bo staff. The horn was blown that tells them that the training is over.

Wally smiles as he stands up to congrats his student. "Congratulations Alexa. You've improved your skills." He said as she shakes hands with Alexa. "Thank you, Sir, I couldn't have done it without you. You're the one who trained me since I was a kid." She said while forming a smile on her face. "Alexa!" She was startled as she felt someone hugged her from her back. "Congrats! It's like you fight like a really good warrior." A friend greeted her. She turns around to face her friend and hugged him back. "Thanks, Micah." She said as she broke the hug. "I'm gonna leave you two. I've got something to do at my office. I'll meet you later here for your group sparing Alexa." Wally said as he walks out of the training room and waved at them.

"Group sparing?" Micah asked Alexa as soon as Wally gets out of the room. "Yeah, a sparing with the warriors." She said as she grabbed her bag and headed straight outside the training room.

"I'm hungry. I want to eat some chicken." Alexa said as they walk along the streets of Enchantia. Micah looked around the village and saw a store selling some chicken. "Alexa wanna race to that shop? Whoever goes last will pay for the meal." Micah told Alexa as he pointed the store on top of a treehouse. "Sure," Alexa said as they began to run as fast as they can until they reached the treehouse.

Alexa wins the race. She smirked at Micah as they both catch their breath. "Looks like you're going to pay for our lunch today." She said as she takes a seat inside the shop. "I let you win!" Micah said as he breathes heavily. "Oh ho ho. Is that so?" She asked him. Micah sits at the seat in front of Alexa. "Y-yeah." He said as he rests his back against the seat. Alexa shrugged as she tells the waiter her order. Then she handed Micah the menu. "Now your turn to order." Micah sighed in defeat as he grabbed the menu to order.

As soon as they finished their meal they climbed to the roof of the shop. From there they can see all of Enchantia. Alexa looked at the shield above her. Enchantia is protected with a force shield. That keeps them from seeing the sky, only a bunch of clouds.

Micah looked at Alexa and stared at her face. His heart starts beating that made him smile.

"Do you ever wonder what it's like to be out there?" Alexa asked him. Micah looked up.

"I do... But it's safer here don't you think?" He said. Alexa looked at him and smiled bitterly. "Maybe."
