Her eyes sparkled, looking very excited and happy. "Yes!" 


I was speechless, my heart swelled with happiness, "Wow... Really, congratulations, Alex! You're gonna have two troublemakers running around the house! Mini Alex and William." 


Alex chuckled, "Hehe, I don't mind. It will be fun for sure. But something has been bothering me... Why are your lips swollen?" 


My eyes grew wide as I unconsciously bit my lip. Shit. 


She smirked after seeing my reaction, "Ohhh, juicy! Spill the tea, sis!" 


I looked away from her, shook my head gently as I held back my tears, "It's nothing... There's nothing to say since it's already over anyway. Now, let's get you and Elena back home." 


Alex stayed quiet after she saw my teary eyes, but thankfully she didn't ask any questions. She linked her arm with mine and smiled. 


I cast one last backward glance before stepping out of the hospital.
