Chapter 46: Kidnapped

Amara’s eyes slowly fluttered open in a dark room. It took a while for her eyes to adjust to the minimum lit room. Her head felt heavy and ached badly, sharp pains pricked through once in a while further worsening her ache.

Amara tried moving her body but couldn't due to her hands being bound behind the chair she was seated upon. She opened her mouth to call out for someone but her throat felt dry and scratchy. She looked around the dimly lit room and outlines of furniture's could be figured out. The room had a small sized window on right side wall allowing the light from the setting sun to seep through.

Amara’s confused eyes roamed around the room, not understanding how she ended up here. Suddenly her eyes zeroed onto a figure tied to a chair, just like her, few meters beside her. She squinted her eyes to see the features of the unconscious man with red like substance dripping down the side of his face.
