ADIL
Adil couldn't believe hi eyes as they set on the beautiful woman who just left Ossiano without a backward glance. Not being used to such treatment, Adil was very much fascinated by her.
"So do you agree?" His uncle asked, bringing him back to the table's discussions.
"uh yes i do" he agreed, not wanting to seem like he wasn't paying to what his uncle, Emir sheikh Mohammed bin al Maktoum, was saying.
"Great then you will be joining us at the palace and do not go back on your word Adil, royals honour their words". And with that the emir of dubai left the restaurant with his precious son and bodyguards.
Adil knew he would regret it but had no other choice if he wanted to hear the end of it. His uncle was a kind but stern man and had no room for disrespectful people. As an emir he had to be in his stern personality more, though many people knew he had a soft spot for Adil as his favourite nephew.
Adil had three cousins from his uncle, the first born being the crown prince, sheik hamdan bin rashid al maktoum who went by his popular name given by his late mother, Jareed. He was a very adventurous man seeming to be in many places at once on his instagram and on what the paparazzi could gather on him. unlike his uncle he wasn't all uptight leaving his life carefree which irritated his uncle and made him somewhat prefer Adil to Jareed because he saw a lot of himself in him.
Jareed was a lot like his late mother who died from an unfastened bungee jump rope. The emir feared to lose his only son like he lost the love of his life and Adil understood where his uncle's worries where coming from but he still thought his uncle should let Jareed run free because no matter what, he would still be his mother's son.
Adil thought his uncle's children would be the end of him because they all took their stubborn personality from their mother. inclkuding the second born princess, sheikha aleeya bint muhammed al maktoum and the last born princess, sheikha mahra bint mohammed al maktoum.
" will you be ordering dessert, your highness?" A female waitress said, bringing him back to reality.
" no thank you, i shall take my leave now" he said and dropped a huge tip on the table.
" thank you so much" the waitress said and he made his way out of the restaurant. Adil couldn't help but wonder if he would be able to meet the beautiful woman from the street because it took no rocket scientist to know she was a guest in the hotel. Maybe he would see her and have a drink with her, after all he knew no woman could ever resist him.
Adil made it to the elevator when he got the phone call.
" we have him boss, what should we do with him?" His body guard, Roger, asked.
" he still wont talk?" Adil replied and cut the call.
"no"
" i'm on my way" Adil said and cut the call.
He pressed the button for the suites floor, wondering why anyone would dare disrespect him, prince Adil Amari Mohammed al sharqi, and go behind his back to betray him.
Most knew of his no nonsense reputation and yet others still tried to test their theories on whether he could bite and not just bark. The few who dared never dared again because much like his uncle he couldn't tolerate disrespect and he had his way of dealing with those who disrespected him. the only person Adil feared was his mother. Sheikha Tarah Amari bin mohammed al sharqi was a no nonsense woman who resided in his home country, Fujairah, with his father, the sheikh. his elder brother, the crown prince and his yonger sister, all led different lives and where mostly never home. the sheikh adored his wife but she could be difficult to handle at times and that's what made him not miss his children very much.
Ariving at his floor he made his way towards his hotel room and opened the door with his keycard to find a man tied to a chair and bleeding but the blood couldn't get to the very expensive carpet because it was covered with a black plastic paper like the ones used tp prevent paint from messing up the floor. he felt like for his victims, seeing the black plastic paper added a whole level of fear to their systems.
the man in the chair looked like he was ready to faint at any minute, with his shoulder length brown shaggy hair and torn shirt, he looked to be in his late twenties or early thirties. Adil didn't really know how people could tell someone's age by just looking at them.
" so i hear you have been talking about me" Adil said to the man in the chair surrounded by three of his men. Walking dangerously slow like a tiger stalking its prey, Adil made his way towards him.
" speak up!" Adil's voice rose an octave when the man didn't respond, further angering him.
" n-no s-sir i d-don't know what y-you are t-talking about" he stammered not wanting to give himself or the person who employed him up.
"are you calling me a liar?" Adil asked, making his eyes seem more dangerous.
" n-no"
" you see, my friend, what fascinates me is that you are brave enough to be in this sit and yet still lie to me and you had the guts to betray me and then what makes you seem more stupid in my eyes is that you allowed yourself to get caught"
There was so much fear in his eyes that it reflected in Adil's ruthless ones, he feared he would pee on himself. He knew he shouldn't have agreed to what that man said to him. But Allah knew he needed the money. His wife was lieing half dead in the hospital with their unborn child but surgery was not an option because he did not have money and his credit was so low he couldn't get a loan.
" i-i had n-no other choice, m-my wif..."
" your wife is in the hospital so you thought you could betray me for more money?" Adil cut him off.
" y-yes, i-i mean no"
" you know i am a very generous man, but instead you chose to go behind my back" Adil exclaimed.
farook and Adil's body guards flinched. Even though Adil was cold but those in his inner circle knew of his very much generous wages.
"All the money i give you, what do you do with it? huh!" Adil laughed.
" i-im sorry, ok let me cut you a deal, if you let me go and see my wife i will come back and tell you who employed me and what they told me" He knew he was playing on thin ice but what other choice did he have.
" what makes you think you are in any position to cut deals with me?" Adil laughed. the man, farook, gulped and stared at soon to be ex boss if everything went south.
" i am the only one who has contact with them and i know from personal experience that you do not like people who betray you, so i will do what ever you want you want but please help me save my wife." At that point farook had tears running down his face. who said men don't cry, Adil thought. he couldn't understand how people could love so much untill risking their necks.
Adil contemplated for a while but gave in because he knew farook was right.
" Alright, but be warned farook, do not cross me again, i have eyes everywhere"
"yes"
" cut him out of that chair" Adil's chief bodyguard, Aman, ordered his fellow bodyguard, Mamoud, who looked uncomfortable and hesitant on releasing Farook.
" thank you so much sir i wont let you down" Farook said and made his way out the door with Adil and his bodyguards
"By the time you reach the hospital, money money will be delivered in your bank account and one more thing Farook"
" y-yes sir?"
" i'm not doing this for you but for your family so don't get too comfortable, there is a lot i am capable of" Adil warned him when they where in the hallway.
" y-ye..." farook didn't get to finish because Mamoud had fished out his silenced gun and shot Farook point blank between the eyes.
" what the..." Adil got the gun from Mamoud before he could process anything and hit him behind the head with it, just as the elevator doors opened across the hall and out stepped the gorgeous woman with the crazy curly hair, who looked just as suprised as the elevator doors closed behind her.
