"We're not the only ones trying to survive."

"Sylvester please." Ivy begged as groans of anguish trailed her ears, "This has been going on for hours, she gave you the information. Why are you still torturing her?" Tan leaned against the wall, his long black hair pulled into a sleek bun, the four children were all looking at Sylvester waiting for his next move, he filled them in, "I need her to take me to a man. I heard that he did experiments on some humans and they ended up getting abilities. If I were to live I need those abilities." Mary shook her head, "I'm sure if you tell her the reason why, she would do it." Conner shook his head, letting his arms rest on the chair in front of him, "She knows but doesn't care. Dad is making her comply." Tan laughed, "By torturing her?" He glared at Conner, "You know what Mary saw, she probably ran away from that place because they were doing exactly what your FATHER is now!" Ivy moved to step in between them, "Take her out of there Sylvester." It was silent for a couple of seconds before Sylvester responded, "I will as soon as she as she does what I asked."

Terra breathed harshly through her nose as the pain continued to flow all throughout her body. She refused to scream out, she refused to give in. The door to the basement opened and she glared through her slightly opened eyes at the old man who had entered. "Are you ready to accept my proposal?" A thought ran through her mind. She didn't know these people, she had no emotional feelings for them either. A smile came on her lips and Sylvester's eyes widened. Therefore she didn't care about who who would die and who wouldn't. "You know what?" She spoke through gritted teeth, "I do not care about any of you and about this situation so why not take this opportunity to test this world."

The cuffs holding her fell to the ground and she ripped off the needle connected to her arm, "How did you?" Sylvester gaped. "A word of advice Sylvester, if you do not follow my every word out there. You will die."

She opened the door and stepped out, "Let's get this show on the road shall we."

Terra pulled her black hair into a ponytail as she stared at herself in the mirror, a knock made her attention wander off to the new figure, "You people have no clue of what's out there." She turned around after tightening it and glared with narrowed eyes at the tall boy named Tan, "We're stronger then we look." He said but she ignored him and walked past him and out the room, "Those that always say they are strong are the ones that are most weak." Terra raised her eyebrows and glanced at him behind her, "If you're strong you have no need to prove it, Tan." He felt his heart flutter as his name came out between her ruby lips.

"Where are the others?" She asked, allowing Tan to step in front of her and take the lead, "Right here." Sylvester's voice made her stop and she stared at the five people in front of the door she tried to escape through when she got here. "This is Zack." The white haired man motioned to a blue haired and blue eyed boy. "He will be coming with us." Terra nodded, "Shields I assume?" Zack lifted his hands and a electric ball formed in his hands, "Good. Now I don't have to worry on Sylvester dying the minute we step outside."

Sylvester opened his mouth to protest but Terra stepped around them and came to stand in front of the door, staring at all of them. "Once this door opens, you will follow my every move, when I run you run. When I crawl you crawl." Her face turned serious, "And when I fight you flee." Terra turned to face the door, "Wait." Ivy said quickly, "What do you mean when you fight we flee? We're in this together." Terra felt her lip tug up. "Enough talking. Let's go." Her pale hand wrapped around the door handle and bright red beams struck her face.

It had been a couple of hours since they left the place they had called home and they were sweating. The Sun's beams shone warmly on them and Mary felt as if she was going to pass out. "Terra?" The purple eyed girl came to a stop, her hands resting on her knees. "Could we rest for a couple minutes. I don't think I can go any further." Terra stopped as soon as the girl said that and the rest soon did as well.

Terra didn't answer just yet letting her eyes wander over the red sandy terrain stretching as far as the eye could see. "We are going to loose precious light." She mumbled. She sighed hearing the complains of the two girls behind her. "Terra?" Tan asked coming to stand by her side. Terra bit her lip and nodded, her gaze landing on a ruin. "Okay fine but I am only giving you ten minutes. We can't stay in the same place for long." She called out to the group already walking towards the stone, "We're not the only ones trying to survive."

Sylvester and Zack rushed past her, electricity buzzing around them.

Once the group reached the cover, they all sat down with relieved sighs, all but Zack. "Zack you need to rest too." Sylvester looked at Terra with big eyes. "You'll be okay." Terra said through clenched teeth, letting her hand raise. The metal that was lying around the ground started stretching before they were enclosed between metal and stone. No sand blowing towards them with harsh wind. Zack slowly sat down and the sound of electricity stopped. "Thank you." Zack motioned to Terra and she nodded.

"How?" Sylvester asked with surprise as he realized he could breath normally. "There is no wind that's how."

Ivy smiled brightly at Terra, "You're actually a real softie. You know if we get over the whole bad girl attitude." Mary chuckled agreeing with her. Terra glanced at them, "Stop talking, you said you needed to rest." They both shut their mouth, "I am going to take first watch."

"I don't think that's needed." Conner said leaning his head against the stone, "We covered on all sides."

"Trust me Conner." Terra said staring at the wall, "You need to watch your back all the time."
