Mariah's POV
I had Isaac drop me off before they went to school. He insisted on me staying at his place until he came back but I was not comfortable being there alone.
So, here I was now sitting on my bedroom floor, surrounded by a suitcase and my entire wardrobe. Yes, my clothes were scattered over the floor. I was planning to just pack any bunch of clothes but then as I was going through my wardrobe, I realized that my wardrobe was mostly filled with men’s clothing – basically Isaac and Chase’s clothes.
I guess, I’m gonna have to let Lina and Serena drag me along when they go shopping. I can already imagine how fun it is going to be.
If you didn’t notice, that was me being sarcastic.

*brrring brrring*
What the bloody cockroach was that awful noise. To make it worse, someone started shaking me awake.
“What?!” I snapped at Satan’s minion, to find out it was Serena.
“Check the time, Godzilla,” she told me.
I looked at the alarm clock to see that it was… 8:25 a.m. SH*T!
I got off the mattress in a flash. We slept over at my house yesterday. Serena and I shared a mattress while the couple shared another. We passed out in my living room after packing and then watching a movie.
Isaac and Lina were awake by now. Everyone was running around the house as if they were being chased by the boogey-man.
“Isaac, guestroom. Lina, Mariah's room. Mariah, your mom’s room. I’ll use the one down the hall. Everyone, move it. NOW!” Serena, the mom of the group, yelled at all of us. We all dashed to the assigned rooms to get ready.
Y’all must be confused as to why Serena’s the mom. Wasn’t it Lina, the gentle and loving? Well, because, is your mother always gentle and loving? No? Then, you got your answer. They're both the moms. But, you know how moms have split personalities at times? They're yelling at you one moment and they're loving you the next. I'm sure you can guess which is which.
I quickly had my shower and then got ready. It was a good thing I had already picked my outfit. It was just a simple outfit – light blue jeans paired with a black V-neck and my cream coloured coat. I didn’t put on my coat now. I was planning on wearing it when I land, since it’s colder there than here, at the moment.
I went downstairs to find everyone dressed and ready.
“Everything ready?” Isaac asked everyone.
We looked around to check our suitcases were all here and everything else that we needed. Everything was in check so we nodded.
“Then, what are we waiting for? Let’s get going,” Serena exclaimed.
Mom had decided to drive us to the airport. Isaac and I put our luggage in the trunk. I sat in shotgun with the three at the back. Serena was between Lina and Isaac since “it’s too early for lovey-dovey shit”.
My mom drove off and we got to the airport in 10 minutes. Lina grabbed two trolleys, while Serena and I helped Isaac get the suitcases out before loading it on the trolleys.
Once everything was loaded, mom went to park the car while we headed inside. We waited for my mom so we could bid our goodbyes. The other three had already said their goodbyes to their individual families yesterday before they came over to my place.
Mom came after a few minutes. Serena and Lina quickly went to check themselves in. I followed them closely. Mom wanted to talk to Isaac about some things. Maybe just telling him to take care of us girls or she’ll “make him suffer”.
We all had checked in and went back to mom. Mom walked us to the departure platform. Lina and Serena quickly hugged mom goodbye, exchanged words like ‘take care’ and then went to stand in line.
I hugged my mom tightly and saw that her eyes were sparkling. With what? That, I was not sure of. Was it of happiness? Sadness? I don’t know.
She hugged me again tightly before moving to Isaac.
“You better take good care of my girls or else I will make you suffer in ways you haven’t even thought of. Okay?” she sternly told Isaac while looking him straight in the eyes. Called it.
“Mom, it’s only for a few weeks. We’ll be back before you know it.” I assured her.
“8 weeks is not “a few”. It’s two whole months.”
“I’ll make sure that the girls are alright, that they have fun and theybehave.” Isaac chipped in.
By “they behave”, he means Serena. She may be the mom of the group but that girl is unpredictable at times. She’s a wildcard.
My mom gave us one last hug and then left us. Isaac and I went to stand in line.
We checked in and waited for our flight to be called.
Isaac – the bodyguard, Lina – the wise owl, Serena – the mom and the wildcard, and I – the mentally disturbed baby – AKA the ‘The Four Stooges’ were on our way to the US.
What could possibly go wrong?
America, here we come!
