Chapter 18

Mariah’s POV

I was currently having my hair pulled, face poked and eye stabbed. Britney hired a bunch of professionals to work on our makeup. Just her and I. She said and I quote, “I’m the main focus of the day. I need to be shimmering and shining brighter than anyone else. And you need a man.”

I just snorted. I didn’t need nor want a man.

*fast-forward 2 hours*

We were all standing outside the chapel. Guests were all sitting inside. The groom was going to enter first, followed by the bridesmaids and groomsmen in pairs and then the best man and maid of honor separately.

That was my idea. I had to debate with myself for an hour whether I should walk down the aisle arm-in-arm with Xander, the person I told off, or I should walk down the aisle alone in front of everyone and possibly humiliate myself. Obviously, I decided with the latter. I do not want to be near that jerk right now.
