Reconnect

"Stupid laundry" I muttered to myself. 


"Well I guess I should've folded the clothes." I looked up to see Braxton standing in the doorway. The sudden shock of seeing him here as soon as I did made me jump. Suddenly I saw his eyes widened, I looked to see the laundry basket falling to the floor at my feet. My head kept going back but my body couldn't move. I turned my head to the side to see that I was falling backwards down the stairs. I came to a sudden stop when I landed on my back on the basement floor. 


"Shit." I grabbed my head feeling the dizziness from the fall. "Did that hurt?" I asked myself feeling dazed. 


"Are you okay?" He came running down the stairs. 


I sat up and rubbed my upper back, I felt I had been repeatedly punched in the back and this time, the pain was being stubborn to subside. "Yeah, I'm fine. You scared the shit out of me. What are you doing here?" I grumbled.
