Reconnect

Large rain drops flooded the driveway and yard. She was standing just a few feet out from under the portico and she was staring up into the sky already soaking wet. I stood there in the shelter as she started spinning around. I could feel the mist from the drops that splashed the ground and sighed before stepping out being soaked as soon as I was free from cover. I walked closer to her, no coat, shoes or umbrella just as she was. The rain was warm, I felt the water engulf my feet with each step. Feeling the peace from the water collapsing on us. Finally understanding her desire to be in the rain, I looked at her to see her running and jumping in every puddle she could find. I watched in awh as I started to laugh. 


"What are you laughing at?" She ran back over and yelled over the rain fall.
