Reconnect

"Renae? Is that you?" James huffed not moving from holding Braxton down. 


"James? You can hear me too?" I felt my heart throb. Maybe Braxton could hear me too. 


"What are you talking about you idiot?!" Braxton screamed in James' face. 


"Guess he can't hear me then... Wait, can you see me? I'm putting my hand in front of your face." I waved my hand in between their faces and Braxton froze but James didn't react. 


"No, I don't see you. What's going on?" He was struggling talking but he kept focus on Braxton so he couldn't move. 


Braxtons eyes followed my arm leading up to my eyes. "Renae?" 


"Braxton? You can see me?" His eyes were swelling and his anger was rising. 


"Wait, Braxton can see you but he can't hear you?" James twisted the wood in his arm causing Braxtons struggle to stop. 


"What the hell is going on?" I whispered as I dropped to my knees and stared into Braxtons eyes. His anger kept growing, he was getting impatient.
