Reconnect

James and Jay carried Braxton in his chains in case he wasn't sane once he finally woke up, but once I got the go ahead, I ran straight to Renaes side. Once I opened the door to Jarrods, I looked down the hall to see Rosia standing by Renaes old bedroom door. 


"Come on in." She smiled moving to the side letting me in. Renae was sitting on the edge of her bed with a boy standing in front of her rubbing her cheek. 


"Renae?" I stepped forward. She looked at me and a smile grew on her face. Instantly leaving behind her sadness as she jumped into my arms. 


"Adam! I'm so happy to see you!" She wrapped her arms around my neck as I took in her scent. She smelled differently, more authentic. More like herself. 


"I'm happy you're okay." I whispered into her neck as I felt her figure press against mine. Just her presence made my anger and annoyance vanish. 


"Excuse me?" The boy behind her tapped her shoulder.
