Should that be a Joke?

With their true rulers in their presence, the wolves had to submit. It was something they were powerless against. It was a pull that bound them to the two crazy people here. Even though they didn't know their true identities yet, the pull forced their wills.

Just because everyone was looking so calm and happy one moment didn't mean that she was done with them. She needed answers. She wanted to know why she was the only one who bore the curse by the matron. She wanted to know if she was going to die tonight, because if it were so, then she could find a way of making herself happy one last time.

At least she would be able to join her parents. It would be like some family reunion. She wanted to know why this was happening to her. She never cared that she sounded bitchy in her response to Angelo. For all she could think of, this was just another orphan that may or may have not been part of the orphanage.

Maybe he was and even if he was, that was nothing to her. She didn't care that he was here or that the old men were also bowing to him. Maybe it was their norm. But then again, it was weird in a way. Normally the children were supposed to bow to the elders, but in this case, the elders were bowing. What a weird world. At least she would not be seeing the morning again.

That thought alone angered er so much. She felt like she could kill anyone. The voice in her head was not going her any peace either. She wanted everyone and everything to shut the fuck up because at least then, she would be a normal seventeen-year-old girl.

Why wasn't she treated well by everyone?

First, it was the universe, and now the people at the orphanage hated her too. Her outburst probably didn't make anything better for her, but she couldn't care one bit for all of these people who looked like they were thriving on the drama.

Angelo on the other hand had almost forgotten what had brought him here, but as they say, the reality is a bitch. There was no forgetting the fact that he was changing and from the tantrums, the beautiful one was throwing, she was experiencing the same.

He had been a good kid for a while now, so the curse wasn't on him. But why was the pretty one s sure she was cursed? Was it because she stole from people? But their nana wouldn't be that harsh on them. Maybe there was more to the story.

Maybe they just needed to stay calm for a moment, but this tigress, looked like she was the most unstable volcano in the room.

She needed the space.

She needed closure, but clearly, her mouth and her wishes tended to go against each other. So before she screwed up again, Angelo decided to talk on their behalf. He had not forgotten the fact that she had called him albatross or even the way he had protected her without even seeing her face.

He needed to understand why he felt like he needed to keep her safe. He wanted to understand why it was that she was freaking out. He felt like he had known her for a while now. He felt like she belonged with him.

Or beside him.

He couldn't quite know which one was it, but what he knew was that despite meeting her for the short time, despite being in the same dilemma as her, if she opened her mouth, they would bother to be kicked out of the orphanage for the chaos they were causing.

And if it would not be for that, then they would be kicked out for literally growling instead of talking to the people around them. They sounded like animals, which was not even surprising for the people in the matron's office.

Not even the nana herself.

She was way too calm for a woman who had believed in Jesus and not even in the supernatural world. She was too calm. Way too calm for a woman who had most likely spent her whole life in a convent or even in a church.

"what's all this? Why is all of this happening?" Angelo asked while looking at their nana. He had a feeling she knew what was happening here. Rhian on the other hand was a second away from snapping.

"I'm cursed, that's what's up. Now you can either join them and cause me too for being the reason for your brother's suffering or you can excuse the nana so she can give me at least one reason why she cursed me." Rhian said without even flinching.
