Tina was on her way home tonight.
The police from Maryvale pulled her to halt, that is why she got out from the city too late. There was some goons who are apparently running amok. They were just making sure everything is alright, but not to her husband. She has some explaining to do.
Tina took a hard right, then another left.
Her phone rang.
If she remembered correctly the intersection should be 6 yards ahead. With her left hand steadily on the wheels, Tina looked down and reached for her phone.
She got it from her bag on the passenger seat.
When she looked back, the empty road lied and the light flickered, then a person laying on the road flashed in.
Recognition dawn to her face as the car did not stopped and continued. The car wobbled and she kicked the break. The loud screeching noise abruptly came to a halt.
She hastily got down and ran over to the man. Why would someone lie on the ground in the middle of the road? Except if he’s drunk. Tina said to herself.
