Life is full of problems, life is full of anger, and life is full of fear...

I didn't want to develop these emotions before I knew it. There are things that I can't run away from. There are things that will continuously pull me back to where I started.

"Jayden, we should never meet again. We know what our families will do to you if they found out about this, about us. You have a relationship with me, a child of the people who ruined the family who kept you. "Devoree smiled bitterly at him and Jayden can deduce what she is going to say next.

"And we both know how many years or months I will live, we are not certain--"

"No matter how many more reasons you make to keep me away, I will not stop until you trust me."

"I trust you with all my heart, Jayden.But---" Jayden just shook his head and caressed the cheek of the woman he loved.

"If you trust me completely, dear ... why don't you let me stay by your side? Are you afraid that I will leave you so you are getting ahead of everything?" Devoree couldn't answer so Jayden knew that was exactly what the woman had in mind.

"Yes, I know you can lose me at any moment but don't push me away from you, Devoree. It hurts even more to see you giving up. If you need a reason to let me stay, is 'I love you so much' not enough? "Devoree shook her head and didn't know what to say. Jayden saw how confused she was. He cupped her face and they both cried as their lips met.

It was a long night for them and all they had in mind were the promises they had made and the love they felt. They forgot all the obstacles they had from their minds and for a moment forgot the conflict between their families.

JAYDEN wakes up after dreaming about the moment when everything began. He wiped the sweat on his forehead.In a few hundred years, this is the first time Jayden wants to go back to that nightmare. Even though it hurt his heart a few times, he wanted to go back, he finally had the courage because there’s this chance that he could find the answer.

Perhaps from there, he will find a solution to all of this and end his several hundred years of suffering. No matter how many times he thinks he might have missed something and even a simple or small detail he needs to know.

"You're up early."Simon greeted him as he left his room. Just like Simon always does, it just smiles at him and suddenly leaves to give him time to think. Maybe Simon noticed that something has been bothering his mind.

Jayden turned to Julie for a moment as she passed in front of him to probably take Simon to the kitchen. Simon’s condition is still not improving even though some experts are already consulting and offering treatment for its disease.

Jayden see through the mixed emotions in the woman's eyes.

Sadness...worry...anger ...

But for what?

The journal came back to Jayden's mind.

It's been a few days since Julie returned it to Eula and they only have the photos they took.Jayden is not very sure but he knows that the answer to all this is in Devoree's journal.

It's been eight days since I last met with Jayden. I do not know when he will return or he will forget me forever. I still carry his promises to me and to this day I still trust his words.I was very worried when I heard that he was coming back to our town and I knew it would be a long journey. Another thing that bothers me is the secret we keep, our love.

My father would be angry when he found out that the son of the man who overthrew our family was the one I loved. My grandmother died with a great anger with this family and because of them, the whole Huego clan suffered.

I do not blame anyone because in the first place,no one should be blamed for it. Both of our parents made mistakes because of this business dispute that sparks more when both heads of the families loved the same woman before.

Until the following years, the dispute between the two families was not yet resolved and by an unexpected turn of events, I love Jayden. At first I didn’t know that he is one of the Martinez clan. I also don’t know that he was adopted but still loved him anyway.

I waited years before we decided to continue what is between us and I knew that the time would come when we would be happy.

Jayden was unaware of the tears flowing down his cheeks as he touched the pages of that journal. He missed the lady who made him feel alive. He doesn't know that this is what she is thinking everytime he isn't there for her.

And for several hundred years, his love for her has not changed and with every letter he reads, he hears Devoree’s soft and gentle voice.

"I-I missed you...my love..." for the first time in hundreds of years, the man who felt no life cried for the woman who he never embraced for the last time.

"He's crying, right?" Simon and Julie were left outside Jayden's room and they were the only ones who could hear the man sobbing. "That Devoree — he loves her so much, huh?" Julie said, whispering. And there was a part of her that ached with every sob and sob she could hear from the room.

Simon, on the other hand, looked at her and realized what was on her mind. He just sighed and shook. "I guess I have to tell it now."

"Huh?"

Simon put his hands on the armrest of his wheelchair and stare at the door in front of them.

"Devoree was the first and only woman Jayden loved. When I first met Jayden, he told me everything in detailed except for the lady. I don't know but he can't handle it every time he remembers her and he usually breaks down when he dreams about it."Simon just sighed when he remembered those times.

"I don't know how long he has been dreaming about her but I guess he's been dreaming about her ever since he turned into...this."

"So he hasn't told you that much about Devoree?"

"That's right." Julie remained silent, but Simon knew that her mind was full of concern and surprise. Simon also couldn't help but say what he knew. Afterall, the girl seems to be growing to care for his friend.

"Jayden was adopted by the family opposing Devoree's so their lives became complicated. When Jayden returned to Europe, his family and Devoree's family were no longer there and no one knew where they went." Julie can’t seem to follow what Simon is saying. Confusion is drawn all over her face but she is trying to cope up with another truth.

"After that time, Jayden could not remember what happened next. All he had to remember is that Devoree was already... dead when he arrived." Julie felt there was a gap in what Simon had said to her. It seems like it is not complete. But what she found out today was enough. So there’s another person involved in Jayden’s life and it is his loved one.

That's a tough one to think, Jayden did not know his real parents. He also did not know if he had any siblings .

He was adopted by a family that restrained him from loving whom he really loves and eventually the person he loved died.

"Wait, there's something bothering me..." Simon turned to Julie and stopped for a moment to pick up her cellphone. "You said that she is the first one that Jayden loved, right?" Simon immediately nodded.

"I suddenly start to think that maybe Jayden and uhm ... Devoree — d-did..." Julie could not say the right word she wanted to say because even she was not comfortable talking about this matter.

"Made love?" Julie's cheek suddenly blushed as Simon completed what she had to say. Simon smiled because this is the first time he saw Julie being embarrassed.

"Of course, they should be. They love each other afterall." Simon said comfortably. Julie was even more ashamed and just shook her head. "W-wait, we should let go of this topic now. All I'm saying is ... if ...... t-they did that, it just means that Devoree had a child." Simon was with her and his forehead immediately furrowed.

"That means if her child survived, there are people today who are connected to Jayden until now. And we should not forget that Eula is included in the descendants of Devoree. She might not be related to Devoree's relatives but to Devoree herself." Simon's eyes widened at what Julie said. Why didn't he think of that?

"It can't possibly be..." Julie and Simon stared at each other before looking back at the door where they could still hear Jayden sobbing from inside. "No, it can't possibly be ... Jayden should have informed us at the beginning or at first he showed signs or gestures that he was related to Eula, right?" Julie tried to remove the heavy feeling around. She can’t believe it!

Julie tried to process everything because she had enough of the truth in just one day. And unbeknownst to the two of them, what they know has been bothering Jayden for a long time.

Weeks passed and there are still no answers those there have found out. Julie starts to worry because even Simon remains silent about the woman named ‘Devoree’.

Julie also did not hear any words from Jayden since they heard him cry. It also began to lock the door so that he could not enter after they ate. Everyone seems to have forgotten what happened and Julie couldn't bear to ask when Simon and her were alone in the garden.

"Why do the two of you act like we didn't have a problem to solve?" Julie turned to Simon but he was just looking at the plants he was watering. He was just stunned and he didn't seem to hear anything. "After all, you also don't want to talk to me, can I say goodbye to you so I can go home?" Simon turned to her. He just nodded and showed no emotion that bothers Julie.

"Sure, you may have a day off." Julie walked away quickly and before she could leave the garden, she heard Simon's voice again. "Promise me you have to get back tomorrow. My parents are going home and probably they will take us to Spain." Julie's eyes widened at what Simon said.

"With me?" Simon just smiled sparingly and turned to the plants again. "Yes, I need you to be with me,” the man looked at his body “Especially in this state."
