‘Nothing.’

‘Are you sure? You look a little pasty. Don’t she look pasty Ging?’

‘A little.’ He said placing his hand on her head. ‘She aint running a temperature, but you should still take it easy could be a twenty four-hour thing.’ He said taking his hand off her head. ‘Well me and Hail are off into town.’

‘I’ll come.’

‘No you stay here. We’ll bring you something back.’

Ging and Hail pulled themselves up. Hail leaned over kissing her. ‘We won’t be long.’

She smiled.

Hail and Ging left the flat closing the door behind them. Laila lay on the sofa closing her eyes.

‘What do you think is up with her Ging?’

‘I don’t know.’

‘Do you think that something happened yesterday? She seemed a little on edge.’

‘If it did she aint telling us.’

‘I hope that she’s okay.’

‘Where’s all this sudden concern come from?’
