The court case

Day 9: 9 am - 5 pm

Detective Jenson Gates

Everyone was sitting in the courtroom. It was now the turn of Detective Jenson Gates to tell his story to the court. Jenson sat unnerved. He took the stand he had been in a briefed from his solicitor for four two last night to go through what is to be expected of him in court and to go through his story of events once again before calling it a day and heading home. Mr. Hatfield had spoken briefly about what to expect from the other two lawyers; Mr. Harfard and Mr. Greeves was sly and would stop at anything to make his plaintiffs look the good guys and him the bad guy. ‘So Detective. Gates. today I would like to talk to you about your involvement in the case against Mr . Thompson and Mr Benson.’ He looked at Jenson through his ice coloured eyes and his big dark eyebrows. ‘I believe that you and Mr. Thompson know each other?’

‘Yes sir.’

‘Please tell the court about your dealings with Mr . Benson and Mr.Thompson?’
