“So, what do you reckon Con and Autumn got up to?”
“He probably fucked her.”
“If he ain't already.”
James stood silently smoking, keeping his mouth closed to his opinion.
“You're quiet Jae. You usually have a lot to say on this subject.”
“Not today.”
“Here they come.”
James choked and stamped on his cigarette.Connor and Autumn approached them.
“Surprised you both got up let alone joined us.”
“Autumn went home on the weekend.”
“She got sick of your ugly face?”
Autumn tried to laugh. Their friends did. Connor nudged Ashby and looked at a very quiet James. “You’re quiet Jay.”
“Whatever, let’s go.”
“The bell ain’t gone yet.”
“Any time now.”
“What’s wrong Jae?”
“Nothing.”
“You can tell me. “
“I said nothing.” He snapped as the bell rang.
“Now it’s time to go.”
They all headed inside and said goodbye. “What’s eating Jay?”
“Don’t know. He was quiet, he didn't even make a crack at you and Autumn.”
