Fatima and I share the same gloomy expression. Through the rear view I see Lucy caressing her cheek, trying to cheer her up. The sight makes a lump grow in my throat.
At least she'll be following after Lucy in a week. I don't know how long it'll be until I see her again.
My sadness is a bit foolish because she's told me countless of times already that I can visit whenever I want but not having her just across the hall changes a lot. Lucy's been my roommate for two years and before her I haven't had a roommate since I was eight years old.
"We're here." Leo chirps beside me.
He's the only one in this car in high spirits. He even offered to take us to the airport.
We don't say anything all the way to her drop off point and when we get there Fatima starts crying which in turn makes me cry and then Lucy.
"I'll see you in a week, Tima." Lucy hiccups while wiping away Fatima's tears.
"I know. I'll just miss you a lot until then."
