Tests and Coffee Shop

At the end of the testing, Richard found himself among the few heavy hitters who could lift up to 5 tons, also known as the so-called peak humans. If he enhanced his human form even further, he could lift up to 15 tons. By giving up his human form to choose a more robotic form, he could lift up to 100 tons without any stress.

Technically, he could reach that strength even in his human form if he wanted to, but for aesthetic reasons, he chose a robotic form. His speed in his unenhanced form was around 50 mph, and in the enhanced form, it was more than 100 mph. Although he was strong physically, that wasn't his main strength. His primary strength came from his nanocytes, which he could control to create whatever he wanted at any time.

"This has no use existing any longer," Richard said as he looked at his former body. Placing his hands on it, a weird liquid started to flow out of his hand and into the body as the liquid merged with the body. In doing so, Richard gained control of the body again, though this time in a vastly different manner than usual. A second later, the body slowly began to dissolve as Richard pulled it apart atom by atom, just to make sure nothing remained.

[Impressive.]

"Thanks, I think I am getting used to it," Richard replied as he left the underground space to go meet his family.

Two Weeks Later

Two weeks later, Mom finally returned from England, and I took her on a date. Yes, I took my mother on a date. Well, she actually forced me out of the workshop so she could spend some time with me, but who cares about the little details? All that matters is that Mom and I were inside a coffee shop.

"So, how are you liking the date?" I asked, a mischievous smile plastered on my face.

Sighs

"Richard, she…" she said, already tired of my antics.

"Hey… I'm sorry, and this time I mean it," I apologized immediately.

"Are you sure?" she asked with a smile, knowing she had clearly won.

"Yes," I answered, since, well, I had no choice.

My name, Richard Griffon, sounds nice on its own, but as soon as my middle name is added in, it sounds as though I am some kind of absolute nerd with no hope in life.

"So... do you agree?" I asked.

"What's there not to agree with? After all, if what you say is right, then it's for my own protection," she replied.

Yes, I was trying to convince her to take my enhancement—not exactly the full thing, but just enough to help her stay safe and make her immune to telepaths.

I tell her everything… well, everything that's okay to tell her, like my workshop, the Fantastic Four and the future that awaits them, the mutants, the Celestials, and other stuff.

She may not believe all of it, but she retains that information in her mind, so any telepath who mistakenly comes across her can instantly become OP.

Said person could strike a deal with Tiamut to release him, and in exchange, Tiamut would bless him with cosmic abilities.

They could locate artifacts that would make them supreme. So, the enhancement was somewhat needed.

"Great, Queen, can you—Shit!!" I cussed when I noticed a projectile flying towards us.

Seeing that there wasn't enough time to simply carry her out of the way, my entire skin turned black as I hardened it to vibranium levels.

Then I grabbed Mom and used my body as a shield for her as the projectile crashed into my back with such speed and force that it left a painful scratch on me.

"Fuck!!, Fuck!!… What the fuck is wrong with you!!" I shouted at the man in a red costume floating in the air right in front of the shop. Ahh, Mom's gonna kill me for cussing later.

"Erik, stop this; they have done nothing to you," I heard another voice say, and turning toward its source, I saw the X-Men, all dressed up and ready for battle.

"Richard?" Mom asked, probably shocked at my appearance.

I may have told her about my enhancement, but I didn't explain everything in great detail.

"Mom, I will explain later... Queen, get her home safely!" I said as I placed my hand on her shoulder.

FThe black liquid flowed out of my hand and onto her. The liquid quickly covered her, forming a type of armor on her body.

[I'm sorry, ma'am, but this place is dangerous for you,] Queen said as soon the armor was fully formed.

"What about Richard?"

[Don't worry, he is more equipped to handle a situation like this than you are,] Queen replied as she immediately took control of the suit and flew her out of the coffee shop and back home.
