The Kidnapping

"Oh my dear Charles… I see you have managed to find us," a familiar voice suddenly resounded in the room.

"Hello, old friend! I thought you were still under treatment," Charles answered.

Hearing the voice, Richard immediately frowned. If Nowlan existed, then that meant En Sabah Nur was following the comics, but now Erik, aka Magneto, was on their side, which didn't make much sense to him.

Their sudden disappearance could be attributed to Erik, as he knew how to hide from Cerebro, but that also meant that En Sabah Nur needed to do something important enough to warrant hiding—something that Apocalypse is not known for. He could hibernate or out-wait something, but he never hid unless the enemy was extremely powerful.

"He's done with the transfer, isn't he?" Richard suddenly asked.

"As expected of Xavier. How many months has it been, and you've already recruited him?" Erik commented.

"Nope. I volunteered because I had a feeling you would be there, and I want to kill you myself."

"I have given you power beyond anything this world has seen. Do not waste your time on such simple things," an old voice chimed into the conversation, and immediately Richard could feel the extra presence that carried a whole lot of weight to it.

**[Evolve]**

Richard chanted as milky white light filled the room, and instantly all the intimidating aura that came with En Sabah Nur's presence vanished. Blessing Magic may sound dumb, but when you realize all you can do with it, you know it's overpowered as hell.

"Impressive. I can feel the powers of the mystic arts in you," En Sabah Nur replied.

"I don't take compliments from the likes of you," Richard said.

"The likes of me? You should be proud, child. I have ruled over this planet once, and I can do it again."

"You don't understand. You ruled over humans who thought mutants were either gods or demons. You're about to face me, and I don't play fair."

"Then I am expecting you, and in the meantime, I thank you for presenting this wonderful gift to me. I need not threaten you when I can control you all at once," En Sabah Nur said, and immediately Richard had a bad feeling.

**[Shield]**

*Boom!!*

A loud explosion sent Richard flying like a rag doll to the other side of the spherical room, with multiple shrapnel lodged in his body. The shield couldn't completely protect them since it wasn't fully formed when the explosion occurred.

"Like I said, thank you for him," the familiar voice said as Richard watched Charles get yanked from the floor behind him into the hands of a blue man wearing some weird high-tech armor and standing at a height of at least 7-8 feet tall.

"I shall get my revenge soon, boy," Erik commented as purple light filled the place and they vanished.

*Sir, I think it's about time you reconsider the design for your basic physique,* Queen's ever-present voice resounded in Richard's mind.

"I know… I know," Richard said as he created and activated some rocket engines on his legs and body, using them to dislodge himself from the wall he was in.

The explosion hit him the hardest because he had rushed to protect everyone—Moira especially, since her death would reset the universe, and there was no guarantee he would be born in the next one. Saving everyone meant he was hit the hardest and was sent flying into a metal wall.

"What was that?!" Logan shouted as soon as he stood up from the ground and healed all his injuries.

"Shut it and get her to a sick bay or something. You, inform all your other X-Men and get them ready for battle soon," Richard ordered, pointing at the young man in a silver jacket who walked into the room.

"What?" the boy asked.

"Damn… you aren't an X-Man yet… okay, go get me the woman with the white hair."

"Storm?"

"Yes, that one. Tell her Xavier has been kidnapped."

"Aye aye," the boy said, then suddenly vanished from sight.
