Part 9 - Heartbreak

LUKAS'S MIND

About 3 weeks after Valerie gave birth to Kayleigh and Noah, I got a call....

"Hello?" I said, As I answered.

"Hello, This is Nurse Shannon." Said the person on the other side. "Is this Lukas, The Alpha?"

"Yes," I said a little concerned.

"Well umm, I need to talk to you... It's about The Luna's Sister..." She said, Sounding a little scared.

I knew who she was talking about but I definitely wasn't prepared for what she said next...

"Jenna?" I said, Questioning.

"Yes... Look, Yesterday, Jenna was involved in a serious car incident... She was pushed into a road and she got run over..." Said the nurse, Obviously close to tears.

My heart broke for Valerie... Not only did Jenna take her in but she acted as a mother to Valerie! If it wasn't for Jenna, I don't know if Valerie would be here...

"Is she alive?.." I asked with fear in my voice.

All I heard was a sigh and then sobbing...

"Please... I need to know..." I said, While trying to stay calm.

"I'm sorry, But Jenna died when brought into hospital..." She said, Crying.

When those words reached my ears, my heart just stopped... I felt so bad for Valerie... I didn't even have a choice because she would find out either way...

I could either leave it and pretend that Jenna isn't dead or I could tell her and her be depressed for the rest of her life...

10 MINUTES LATER...

"Hey Valerie..." I said, Sounding sad.

"Hey, Have you heard from Jenna at all? She isn't answering anything. I've tried to mind link her, I've tried to call her and text her but she isn't responding. I'm getting worried.." She said, Sounding concerned.

I knew I had to tell her but, I dont want to break her heart... She only just gave birth to the kids..

"Look, Valerie. About 10 minutes ago, I got a call... Jenna is dead..." I said, As I was slowly dieing in life.

I was so sad for Valerie, She doesn't deserve this. Especially, when she is critical...

"I- How..." She said, Taking my hand.

"She got pushed into the road as a car was speeding up... Valerie, It hit her... It hit her hard..." I said, Almost crying...

"No... No... I can't believe it... I DON'T WANT TOO!..." She said, While leaning in for a hug...

My heart broke to see her like this...

Valerie Had just given brith to her babies, She doesn't need this...

18 YEARS LATER...

VALERIE'S MIND

It's been 18 years since the death of Jenna... But I'm handling it okay... I guess....

Olivia Found her Mate and they had 4 children together.

Kayleigh and Noah have found they're mates now aswell. They both have a child each.

Me and Lukas ended up having 1 more child. (Alexis, 14) she will find her mate soon.

Jack was the one that accidentally hit Jenna 18 years ago and He died...

I don't think I could be happier!
