John walked out of the airport and rented a car. Just last week, he had Jarvis look up a few places outside of the university for him to stay at. A mansion with a small yard in the suburbs. It was a ten to twenty-minute drive away from the university but was suited for his purpose. He ordered Jarvis to buy it and fortify the basement along with the creation of an underground base after it was bought. He also bought various materials under his father's name and had them sent to the mansion. Jarvis naturally took over the mansion but there was no one to set up the things for the construction of an underground area.

John parked the rented car in a Car Dealership. He began to survey the cars, but as it was still 2005, none of the cars suited his taste, he decided to choose the 2005 Toyota Camry.

"Welcome, how may I help you, sir?" An attendant noticed his presence and asked

"Hello, I would like to buy a Toyota Camry" John answered

Very quickly, he got the paperwork done and could immediately take the car. The dealership also returned the rented car back to the airport.

He returned to the mansion and started assembling and welding a crude robot.

[Sir? What exactly are you trying to make?] Jarvis asked

"A robot to construct the underground area" John replied

When he was finished, it didn't look very perfect and there were spots where the parts looked uneven.

"Jarvis, contact my father and tell him that I need some materials from him" John sighed when he saw the crude look of the robot

"At least it works" he muttered

He tested the functions of the robot and they were barely passable.

"Jarvis bring me a blueprint of the mansion" John ordered.

A blueprint was quickly sent to his phone and he created a physical copy of it.

[Sir, your furniture has arrived] Jarvis told him as was studying them.

"Got it" he replied and walked upstairs

His front yard was filled with boxes and he started to unpack everything.

"Jarvis open the garage" John shouted as he moved large boxes inside.

Luckily he had a hand truck to carry things in. He bought a new fridge, TV, tables, beds, chairs, and any furniture he could get his hands on.

He also bought several antiques and national treasures several years back and he moved them here to renovate his home. He bought them off the black market but not until he had Jarvis check the authenticity and confirm if it had been reported stolen. They contained paintings, swords, armor, and a lot of ancient Chinese treasures that were lost during World War 2 and even more that were lost during the second opium war.

He knew some of their true values but didn't care much and just set them up as decorations. He also bought some sandbags and other equipment to help with his exercise and martial arts. As soon as he finished moving everything inside and decorating the house, he was drenched in sweat. He quickly took a shower and put on some fresh clothes before going downstairs where all the exercising equipment are.

He quickly entered the library in his head after sitting down on the mat.

'Before I only came here to study the coding of Artificial Intelligence and hacking. Now that I have more freedom to do things what should I study?' He quickly thought of a few things but dismissed them 'Iron man? Too much precise cutting edge technology needed not to mention the fact I need to create my own arc reactor and I don't have any of those materials with me'

A problem quickly popped up into his mind, resources. He doesn't have any secure sources to buy resources from. If he were to buy them in large quantities, it may garner the attention of the authorities. He also realized another problem, he bought too much training equipment and filled the basement with them, leaving no room for him to do experiments.

'Looks like I have to wait for another month for the underground base to be built' He sighed 'Self defense techniques it is, then'

He thought of various martial arts moves from martial arts movies but none of them seemed to be a good option for him.

'What is a good self-defense yet good offensive technique?' He thought to himself before a certain movie popped into his head IP Man. The most attractive scene in there is the fact that he destroyed 10 black belts alone. 'Wing Chun it is'

He thought of the movie IP Man and took the book related to Wing Chun. He studied it for several hours, imprinting all the knowledge and movements into his mind. Once he was done, he went against the wooden pole and practiced the movements slowly. As he practiced, the robot he constructed started building a hidden entrance behind one of the shelves and started to break apart the stone layers, shaping the entrance of the base.

As a few days passed, more and more materials, as well as equipment, was sent over to him by his father. He used them to create better robots to fasten the pace of the base being built. The base was built several meters below the pipelines and sewer running under the house. He practiced Wing Chun for a week until he became more fluid in its movement. Although he could not be compared to IP Man in understanding the technique, he could still take down an armed person without any problem.

For an entire month, he practiced nonstop and only stopped to use the bathroom, eat, and sleep. The base was also finished just last night, Jarvis took over and started creating high precision cutting equipment and a separate energy source for the base as it required a lot of energy to keep it functional. He already reached a state where he was similar to IP Man in using the technique but he couldn't help but feel that something was missing. He continued to practice it over and over again but couldn't understand why he has a feeling that something was not right.

He eventually returned to the library and did his own research about it. He found the problem. It was that he was missing internal energy. As someone who reads many novels and movies, he knows what internal energy is. He decided to go back a little bit and looked for the movies called Wing Chun. He found both a lightness skill and the internal energy method for it and started his practice of it.

Unfortunately, school starts the next day and he couldn't do everything at once. 'If only there was a cloning technique' she sighed but he gave it a second thought before his eyes lit up. There were two that he was aware of, Sun Wukong's 72 transformations and Naruto's Shadow Clone Jutsu.

He could learn the latter as it requires an energy similar to internal energy called chakra. Naturally, he practiced it after cultivating a little bit of Internal energy but found that the consumption of internal energy was too much. He could only go to school as he cultivated internal energy.
