Strings Attached (Writer's Expressive Piece - 2)

Numerous strings withhold the body to keep it controlled

Parents teach their child right from wrong to avoid them getting into trouble

Real friends and family members have each other's back in the roughest of times

Some even take on the parental role alone

But, what do you do when you have none of that?

When you fall on your face flat?

And no person in this world gives two craps?

Exactly.

Rumbling roars repeating

The truth subtly screaming

All to be covered up by a smile

A fake apology

And paper change to wipe away the memory

Until it happens again

And again

The beginning now so far back yet it's unclear if it will end

So sometimes, it's better to just pretend

Pretend...

That all of it is normal

That all of this is NORMAL

That it's so formal

And then, it's a constant routine that hides when goodness actually comes

Is it real?

Is it a ruse?

Is it too late or too soon?

And then it's decided

It's too good to be true

But...scissors

Scissors cut the strings attached

They cut ties to the old

They are the key to freedom

Be ye angry, and sin not

That is possible

Because He made it possible

Having wants and needs being valued for once

He is here to provide

Never needing a single soul to rely on

Because He is more than enough

Cut the strings attached

He is waiting for you

And He loves you.
