Everlasting Piece ~ (Short Story)

The sky dims and darkens at night. Then, brightens and shines for the next day. The same cycle for different days, with some differing by weather. Whether or not it rains, snows, hails. Whether or not there are crimes committed, or donations made to the less fortunate and ill citizens. I watch it. I know it. I feel it. I feel them.

The worst of the worst. The best of the best. It all has a way of coming out, and never kept close to the chest. As my brain is still processing the information that I learn each day and moment that I have alone, there is a significant factor in which I cannot seem to ignore. A connecting piece that feels like a constant realization. The worst of the worst can become the best of the best. Although, the best of the best does not mean a thing by itself. There are forms. There is intensity. There is devotion. There is loyalty. Determination. Strength. Care. Kindess. That is why love is so powerful.

Family. Friends. Partners. Pets. The extent that is willing to be stretched. My very wakeful mind loops around the subject constantly. Never becomes never a second thought. Risk becomes bravery. Quitting becomes working harder. The lengths increase. The worth is greater. Then, we stop. We look back. We are astounded. Because impossible was no longer in the equation.

As my brain is still processing the information that I learn each day and moment that I have alone, there is a significant factor in which I cannot ignore. The love we have. The love we express. It goes far beyond what we are able to understand. We feel, even if we do not think that we do. We share, even if we do not feel that we do. There is never enough of it. And, that is beautiful. There is so much to give. So much to receive. He shows us that. His Son has displayed that. We will come to truly know that. If we are open to accept that.
