Break-in

Getting over the loss of sweet little Jerico wasn't easy and surviving the last few nights without a home base wasn't any easier. We've been on the move day and night in search of solid home ground to call our own, from abandoned buildings to houses that we broke into, but we always ended up running for our lives from various zombified animals or we had to leave in the morning due to the fact that the building could collapse in on itself at any moment and we didn't want to be there when it happened. We were tired and I think we all agree that we needed to find a place to settle as it was dangerous to move around in the zombie apocalypse, especially when you don't know everything that was out on the darkened streets. I was getting sick of not knowing what we were up against and I think it was time that we found out. It was time to dig up some research on what exactly those archaeologists found the day before the world fell into the hands of the unknown and what better place to do a little research than at the Brackenfell public library.

Once we all woke up in a random house that we broke into the night before -that was across the street to Brackenfell High school- we decided to break off into two groups. Gerhard and Damian would go and rummage for food in the Brackenfell spar and Blake and I would go to the library and find out what we can about the jar that the Archaeologists found and where they found it and find out what exactly was in that jar, to begin with, that could have possibly bought about the end of the world. Then the boys would meet Blake and me back at the library after half an hour and if they weren't back before time was up, we would send out a search party to come and find them, and by a search party, I meant Blake would come to check up on them.

When we finally got into the library thanks to my master lock picking skills, Blake and I headed to the isle that was labeled history and started to search for any book coralating to ancient egypt and low and behold, the book: Ancient Egypt History and Artifacts. I started flipping through the pages and there it was: Schrödinger's Glass Prison. Everything that we needed to know about the Jar. When it was made. How it was made and more importantly...

Why it was made.

"Apparently," I said to Blake as we both pulled up a chair and I placed the thick hard cover book down in front of us, "The jar was made sometime between the 1200s and 1350s in the heart of Egypt by a minor Egyptian god in an attempt to cage a magicians sister. The brother was also involved in capturing her and she definitely wanted revenge for what he did to her. Apparently he was no stranger to symbols. His name was Schrödinger, he created a box to cage the family cat that was both dead and alive that his sister managed to create. Her name was Shrodina. The cat also ate their mom and dad. After that she also managed to change her brothers favorite dog into a living and non-living animal that she sent to eat everyone in her village, forcing him to put the dog down and lock up his sister."

"Damn, tough break. First his cat, then his parents, then his dog, and, well, I guess loosing his sister wasn't such a big loss if I do say so myself. She did ruin his life by the sounds of it." Blake said while he grabbed the book from between us to check the symbols that were printed on the edge of the page. He ran his hand slowly over the foreign symbols with a sorrowful expression as he blinked away tears.

"Are you okay? Was it something I said?"

He wiped away the stray tears that was rolling down his cheek ad replaced the sadness in his eyes with a stern expression.

"Yes, I'm fine. I know these symbols. We call them Seighns in Ancient Egypt. These symbols were often used by sorcerers when wanting to trap a being of the unknown." He continued

"Which we just read about in the book. Also, why did you say 'we'?" I squinted at him, but he remained unfazed.

"Wait! We have the answer to end all of this. These symbols were used by Schrödinger himself to trap his sister in the first place. What is stopping us from making that happen again? We can recreate a cage for her that will keep her locked up forever. For good!" Blake said passionately.

"You're a crazy man, Blake. Lucky for you, crazy is what I live for. So what exactly will we need in order to trap her?" I asked in crazed curiosity.

Blake stood and started to walk up and down the isle whilst deep in thought, "Obviously, we will need a cage along with something to carve or mark the Seighns onto the object that we shall be trapping her in. We will also need a very strong lock and key and we will also to find a material that is in penetrable that we can use as the cage. We will also need hearts and souls of steel, cause this is going to get rough."

"I completely agree and I think I have just the type of box you are looking for and luck for us, we will be able to find it in the games store just across the road. The Funky Bananas Party Store. I can take you there now if you want me to." I suggested and his expression went from stern to confused real fast.

"Your idea is to trap an ancient Egyptian magician in a toy box that we are about to get from a party store?" He asked in absolute disbelief of what I had just said.

"So you agree that we must get it from there?" I said with a smile on my face.

"You're starting to sound more crazy than I am." He stated and shook his head.

"I am more crazy than you are. We need to go and check on the boys. I think we have gathered all the information needed in order to end this nightmare once and for all." I said before walking to the book and tearing out the page that had the Seighns printed on it before stuffing it into my oversized denim jacket and walking out the library, Black following close behind.

"Let's go see if the boys are still alive, shall we?"
