Chapter Two

Days rolled into weeks,weeks rolled into month everything continue going normal, in two weeks time is going to be Jide's birthday, every one has something special for him, his mom has already plan a party for him, even her coworkers has a plan for him. everyday is exciting day in Jide's family everyone treat him special.

It very early in the morning Mr Daniel has prepared for work, his friend came in side his room without knocking, hi what's up man,he greeted, and what are you doing here, he ask without even replying his greetings. I just come to check on you, probably it high time you go home, everyone will love to see you. Oh I see that's what bring you here right then I don't want this discussion again, he left angrily. He got to work, this morning actually he has a meetings to attend by 10:30. It is two hours meetings, he got to his office drop his bag on the table pick is laptop and started working, few minutes later, his secretary brought his coffee for him and why are you late, he asked I woke up late sir, he interrupted him I don't want your excuses I don't tolerate late coming in this place be warn now leave, am sorry Sir he left. It was time for the meetings, he went to the meetings hall sat down and wait for everyone,everyone started arriving one by one until the hall got full then the meeting begins, the meetings was all about team building, decision making, problem solving and innovation. It held for two hours and ended with good decision, everyone went back their various offices.

Ms. Alice went to pick Jide as usual and take him home then return back to her office, upon entering her office she heard voices there, hi she greeted, sat on her sit. How are you, I came here to have conversation with you please. Alright you can come without looking at his face, he sat opposite her at the guest sit, I have missed, I want to take you for a date, will you come he smiled, excuse me it seems you don't have something important to do right then leave, I have work to do please she said without facing him still, he stood up and left.

Mr. Noah is her colleague,who has been asking her out for years, thought he is handsome, tall, intelligent but she does not want him, something is telling her to be patient for while, she thought for sometimes decided to continued her work and forget about him.

It is already 9:00pm in the night, that's when she close from work very tried and walk to her car open the door drop her bag then sat down that's when she realizes that someone is coming toward her, she stop and waited for the person to come.

Hi good evening, he greeted

Evening how was work ,she answered

Please I just want you to rid me home, my car broke down,he said

OK no problem enter let's go

He sat at the front sit while she drive home, there was silent half of the journey, you look tired, let stop at a restaurant for dinner, he asked.

Oh no don't worry your self am fine, by the way my mom must have prepare something for me, she rejected politely.

I can stop so you could get something to buy and eat, she said . no don't worry I will be fine, he smiled, she drove home along the way he came down and say good bye, she got home, she met her mom at the sitting room.

Good evening mom, she greeted

How is work my dear, go freshen up dinner is waiting for you, I will be waiting for you here,

Ms. Alice went to Jide room, he was already asleep, she peck on his forehead and arrange his body cover very before heading to her room.

Mr. Daniel sat on the sofa watching new, the bell ring showing that there is someone there,

He open the door, collect the food he order for and lock it firmly, he took it to dinning table, he order for sandwich and drinks, he went to called his friend in his room, only to find him fast asleep.

Bestie, he tap him when there was no sign of him waking up, he took water spring it on his face.

Oh my goodness, what is it again, he asked. food is here,he replied.

He stood up, brush his teeth then went and join him. They ate finish and everyone return to bed as at 10pm. Mr Daniel was unable to sleep, he was thinking a lot things most especially the last girl he encounter with before he here London, Alice he said to himself. I hope she is fine, I need to search for her because she is everything no one can satisfy me like the she did. He went to the bed lay on it, slowly, slowly he finally slept.

Next Morning

Jide has prepare for school, he sat on the chair waiting for his mom to come outside.

Am here, good morning everyone, she greeted as she come down from the stairs. Morning darling said Grandma. She sit on the chair and they began eating, Jack will go back to school today in China to continued his studies, Grandma announced. Am going to missed him a lot, said by Jide.

Can't you wait a little more, Ms. Alice asked.

No I can't wait because I was called for experiment. It is time for it, I wish I can stay but no way except if I want to miss it.

No you can go, focus on your studies and have a journey Mercy, she advice him.

Mom bye am going to late for work, Jide let go drop you at school.

They both left the house after hugging, pecking each other and good bye wishes.

Ms. Alice drove to school, took Jide to his class then left to work. She got to work some minutes later before the time, she greeted everyone and walk to her office, drop her bag, started working on the system as usual. She is preparing the schedule time for meeting for her boss Mr. Owen.

Grandma escorted Jack to the airport telling him all the necessarily advice before he enter the plan, she stood there as the plan start moving gradually until finally took off where she can site it again. She went home looking very sad actually Jack has been a lot to her, she does n't feel bore around him, he always her in one or two thing. she miss him already which is bring a lot of memory of late husband who died by car accident, Jack is just like his father very, lovely, care, tall and also handsome it was a great loss, she cried as she remember those sweet memories.

It was lunch time, Mr. Daniel went t cafeteria, he order barked cookies and soft drinks. One of the maid took it along with her at his back until they got to the office, she drop it on the table and left. Mr. Daniel sit on the chair, started eating he was almost done when the door widely open by his friend Mr. David, can't u knock before entering, Mr. Daniel asked. Why should I knock while entering my friend office, I came to spend sometimes with you but if you don't want I can go back, said Mr David.

You can stay, I just don't like when someone enter without knocking, so what's up man, hope you have eaten lunch before coming here am fine and I ate delicious meal before coming there is new gist for you, he said excitingly

alright am all ears hope is something interesting, he said smiling. See there was a lady I met at the canteen today very beautiful, she has does packages well so I approach her and guess what, he asked. What ?? Mr.Daniel said. She accepted me I will be going to her place tonight, said Mr.David happily. Don't do something stupid there because I know you very well. Mr. Daniel said looking at him face to face waiting for answer.

Trust me, I won't do anything, I will just express my love for her. They chatted for a while and resume work.

Seconds roll into minutes, minutes roll into hours, hours roll into days, days roll into weeks it has been one week and some days now remaining three days, they made invitation card, they invites friends from neighborhood, friends from school, and relations, etc. They invites total number of 250 people. They rented one of big hall in Victory Island, Lagos.They have prepare something down before the day to come.

Mr.Daniel is the only at home, feeling bore and decided to play game online to keep him busy.

Mr.David drove to his new love house, he knock the door calmly, yes who is there, she asked. She open the door and found a tall handsome guy who wore black pants and blue long sleeves, he wore eye glasses and black shoes, she stair at him and was brought back to life by the beautiful voice, can I come, he asked

Oh yea you look handsome, she said. and you too he also said.

She wore pink gown design with stones at the neck and chest side, she wore a long earrings and her hair been packed very well she look gorgeous, He said to himself. They both sit on the couch watching movies, she serve him fruit juice and baked cookies. Later on he makes funny jokes, she laugh and they both retired to bed. They slept together she put her head on his chest, they both slept like that.

Ms. Alice went to Jide as usual peck him, say good night prayer before going to her room.

She is so happy that night knowing the next day is weekend not just weekend but Jide's birthday.
